Leeds United are set to sanction another departure from Elland Road with Tyler Denton poised to join Peterborough United on loan.
United parted company with goalkeeper Andy Lonergan and striker Jay-Roy Grot earlier today and will release left-back Denton to League One for the whole of next season in the next 24 hours.
Denton was unlikely to feature heavily under new Leeds boss Marcelo Bielsa and favoured a move elsewhere over a year of development-squad football.
The 22-year-old completed half of last season on loan at Port Vale in League Two but was forced to cut short that spell in January due to family reasons.
Italian club Brescia, controlled by one-time Leeds owner Massimo Cellino, targeted Denton earlier in this window but Denton, who has made just one first-team appearance for Leeds, resisted a move to content and will link up with ex-United manager Steve Evans at Peterborough Road instead.
Leeds have removed no fewer than six players from their squad already, with Madger Gomes, Felix Wiedwald, Lewie Coyle and Pawel Cibicki all exiting the club in the past fortnight.
Lonergan agreed to sever the remainder of his contract this afternoon, leaving United by mutual consent, and Grot has moved back to Holland tonight on a season-long loan with Dutch top-flight side VVV Venlo.
