LEEDS UNITED RETAIL EXPANSION ACROSS THE CITY

A number of off field developments have been taking place at Leeds United over the summer ahead of the 2018/19 season, which include exciting additions and refurbishments to our retail stores.

Back in 2016, Leeds United returned to the heart of the city, opening a store in the Merrion Centre and we are pleased to be expanding even further this summer, with two brand new stores.

A new store has this week opened at Leeds Bradford Airport, meaning people jetting away during the summer from ‘Yorkshire’s Airport’ will be able to pick up all their important Leeds United holiday essentials.  The new store at Leeds Bradford Airport will be open from 4:30am-4:30pm every day and is situated after security checks take place, so be sure to check it out, if you are flying from there over the next few months.

A second new outlet will open within the Trinity Centre in Leeds City Centre later this month.  The unit acquired by the club is currently being overhauled and F***ed out, ready for opening.  This means the club will now have two stores in the centre of Leeds, in prime locations.  More details on opening date and store hours for our Trinity store will be announced in due course.

Our superstore at Elland Road is being completely refurbished ahead of the new season and will be closed from Wednesday evening.  A temporary store in Howard’s Bar, opposite the West Stand Ticket Office will be open until its completion.  The refurbishment will bring together the urban styling of the stadium with visual cues of traditional grandeur.  We hope it won't feel like walking into just another football store, it will feel completely unique to Leeds United.

We're also reviewing our range at the Merrion Centre, so look out for new additions and great offers over the coming months.

LEEDS BRADFORD AIRPORT STORE OPENS
The new Leeds United retail outlet at Leeds Bradford Airport is now officially open.

It means people flying from ‘Yorkshire’s Airport’ over the summer will be able to pick up all their important Leeds United holiday essentials ahead of travelling.

The new store is open from 4:30am-4:30pm every day and is situated after security checks take place, so be sure to check it out, if you are flying from there over the next few months.



Speaking at the official opening, Aviation Development and Corporate Affairs Manager at Leeds Bradford Airport, Phil Forster said: “The football club is one of the key staples in the region and ultimately Leeds United and Leeds Bradford Airport working together can only be a good thing.

“Especially at this time of year, we see lots of Leeds United season ticket holders coming through and this store is the perfect place to get some last minute items, from bags to flip flops.

“It is perfect for this airport, which we want to grow and whilst it is an exciting time for the football club, it is an exciting time for the airport as well.



Leeds United Executive Director Paul Bell added: “We’ve had a small presence in Leeds Bradford Airport in previous years and the new management team offered us this space, which is a much bigger unit in a fabulous location, right after the security checks.

“Every passenger coming through the airport will see the store in all of its glory and this is the start of a big summer for us, this store opening is magnificent.

“We see great opportunities in retail, we’ve got store plans for Trinity in Leeds, we’re refurbishing the Superstore at Elland Road and we’ll have a new online platform later in the year.”

TRINITY LEEDS STORE TO OPEN THURSDAY

Leeds United will unveil its new store at Trinity Leeds on Thursday 5 July with a number of first-team players in attendance.

The opening of the store will provide supporters with a central location where they can purchase a range of official Leeds United merchandise. This will include adult and junior football kits, footballs, homeware and a variety of accessories.

The store will be officially opened at 10am on Thursday morning by Angus Kinnear and Josh Warrington, the current IBF featherweight champion, along with the Centre Manager at Trinity Leeds.

To mark the occasion there will also be three Leeds United stars taking part in a signing session outside the new store from 5.30pm and there will be a football freestyler and a local DJ providing entertainment around the store from 11am.

To attend the signing session all fans need to do is purchase a limited edition Kappa Football for the reduced price of £10 from the new Leeds United Store at the Trinity Centre before 5.30pm, your receipt will then act as your ticket.

Throughout the day fans can also expect visits from other familiar faces, such as former player Tony Dorgio, who will be in store to meet fans at around 12pm.

The new addition at Trinity Leeds signals a shift in commercial focus for the club as it expands its presence within Leeds, now offering four official locations to choose from, including; Elland Road, Leeds Bradford Airport, the Merrion Centre and now Trinity Leeds.

Dan Wharton, Marketing Manager at Trinity Leeds, said: “We are delighted to see Leeds United open its official store here at Trinity Leeds.

"As a shopping centre, we are always looking to enhance our offering for customers and I am sure this new addition will be packed with fans.”

Angus Kinnear, Managing Director at Leeds United, added: “At Leeds United we are keen to create accessible stores for all of our fans, including those who do not regularly visit Elland Road.

“The new store at Trinity Leeds allows us to do just that and we look forward to seeing our fans at the new store following its opening on Thursday.”

The Leeds United store at Trinity Leeds will be open 9am – 8pm Monday to Saturday and from 9:30am – 5pm on a Sunday.

First-team stars Luke Ayling and Jack Clarke took part in an exclusive photoshoot recently for a new range of premium Leeds United clothing and accessories, Legacy.

The Whites duo took time out of their training schedule for the shoot which took place at Oulton Hall and they were joined by former Leeds United players Eddie Gray and Tony Dorigo to showcase the full collection.
