20 gone, Leeds leading 1-0. Josh Rae just made a great save to deny #HTAFC an equaliser. #LUFC
(Been told Jamie Thornton but will find out for definite at half-time)
Different formation for the Whites, not the usual 4-3-3. Back 3 of Jamie Thornton, Charlie Cresswell and Ollie Casey. Dane Burlace and Joe Stanley as wingbacks. #LUFC
27’ GOAL: 1-1. Micah Obeiro with an equaliser for #HTAFC, tidy right footed finish after a defence splitting pass from Scott High. #LUFC
Whites’ full XI: Rae, Burlace, Thornton, Cresswell, Casey, Stanley, Jenkins, Gibbon, Woollerton, Hudson, Huggins. #LUFC
45’ 1-1: 2nd half underway, Josh Shergill on for Ollie Casey at half time. #LUFC
54’ GOAL for #HTAFC. The away side take the lead, Leeds lose the ball on halfway, Huddersfield break and Kit Elliott fires past Josh Rae, no chance for the keeper. #LUFC 1-2 #HTAFC
55’ So close for Leeds, Hudson rattles the post with a free-kick on the edge of the box. #LUFC 1-2 #HTAFC
58’ Second sub for Leeds, Alex Woolerton replaced by Lucas Odunston. #LUFC 1-2 #HTAFC
60’ Huddersfield make it 3-1, great save by Rae initially but Cresswell couldn’t keep out the second attempt. #LUFC 1-3 #HTAFC
62’ Rae with another save this time to deny Scott High’s curling effort, the town captain, a very impressive player. #LUFC 1-3 #HTAFC
63’ Dom Tear adds a fourth, dispatched confidently after getting in behind Leeds. #LUFC 1-4 #HTAFC
65’ Seconds after having a goal disallowed for offside, Dom Tear gets his hat-trick with a left footed finish beyond Rae. #LUFC 1-5 #HTAFC
68’ Charlie Creswell hits the bar from the penalty spot after Lucas Odunston is fouled. #LUFC 1-5 #HTAFC
FT: #LUFC 1-5 #HTAFC. Leeds missing a couple of players, particularly a striker, Huddersfield come out on top after a dominant second half performance.
Tough game, but a lot of positivity from the coaches after the season they’ve had. If they’re gonna lose games they’d obviously rather it be a friendly, helps their work and preparation for next season and also a reminder for players what’s required.
Olly Casey, Niall Huggins and Theo Hudson the ones that will be moving up as far as I know. Contrast to last season when the U18s lost 7 or 8 to the u23s
Disse 3 er klassifisert som SVÆRT gode!!
