Kamp 21/3:
Yeovil vs. MK Dons
Yeovil Town 0-0 MK DonsYeovil missed a first half penalty to ensure a point as Dons failed to get their promotion push back on track at Huish Park.
Willy Gueret superbly saved Gavin Tomlin's spot kick while Dons had two efforts cleared off the line in the second half.
It wasn't to be for the Dons though who were never at their best against the Glovers and looked to be missing a cutting edge.
With Millwall and Peterborough both winning the Dons' chances of automatic promotion are shrinking day-by-day – they are now seven points behind second place Posh.
Robert Di Matteo no doubt left very frustrated by his side not being able to score in two games in a row.
With the ease that Dons beat the Glovers earlier in the season this game looked like a great opportunity for the side to get going again.
And had it not been for an imperious performance from Sean O'Hanlon at centre back it could have been worse for the Dons.
The first half was an even affair, as both teams looked a tad short of confidence.
Jason Puncheon had an effort after just 90 seconds as he cut in well but his right foot shot ended up at the corner flag.
On-loan Spurs youngster Jogn Obika had the ball in the net inside the first 10 minutes but the flag was up ages before he eventually rounded Gueret and tapped in.
Dons' best chance of the half came from a cleverly worked free kick on the edge of the box as Jemal Johnson spun and hit a rasping shot that Chris Weale did well to punch away.
Then Sean O'Hanlon headed wide at the near post from Johnson's corner.
The game finally came to life on the half hour mark as the on-loan Spurs combination of John Obika and Andros Townsend won a penalty.
Obika released a clever ball sidewards for his on-running teammate who burst into the box and was clearly clipped by the clumsy Flavien Belson.
Tomlin stepped up with a low penalty to the bottom left corner but the superb Gueret stretched superbly to palm away.
Things almost got even worse for the Glovers when Lee Peltier almost sliced a clearance into his own net, clever goalkeeping by Weale saving his blushes as he saved well and just kept the ball from going over the line.
Then late on in the half Johnson cut in well from the right but hit a low weak shot at the near post that was easily saved.
Dons made an attacking change at the start of the second half as Luke Chadwick replaced Belson.
It had an immediate effect as Puncheon had a hooked shot cleared off the line by Terrell Forbes within seconds.
But chances were still hard to come by and Terell Forbes was in inspired form as he made a saving tackle on Johnson after a great run and pass from Chadwick.
Dons continued to go forward without much luck and then with 10 minutes to go Miguel Llera headed a Johnson corner towards the far top corner but Danny Hutchins managed to brilliantly head onto the bar and the away.
Then Dean Lewington tried his luck with a 25-yard half volley that Weale spilled but with no pressure he was able to gather at the second attempt
Then in the last moments of the game the Glovers almost stole the game as Townsend played a clever one-two with substitute Luke Rodgers only for Gueret to pull of a superb save.
