Darren Byfield, the striker who is arguably more famous for being 'that footballer who is married to Jamelia' is said to be close to agreeing a move to Leeds.


Byfield is available on a free transfer following his release from Bristol City at the end of last season.

The former Aston Villa youngster was surprisingly allowed to leave Ashton Gate despite finishing as the club's top scorer last season. Byfield's availability has made him an attractive proposition to a number of clubs looking to bolster their attacks.
 
Doncaster and Swansea are thought have enquired about Byfield and now Leeds have joined the chase for the 31-year-old.

Leeds boss Gary McAllister is an admirer of the former Sunderland and Gillingham ace and sees Byfield as the man to help boost the Whites bid to win promotion to the Championship

Byfield and singer Jamelia tied the knot at what the celebrity gossip mags would call 'an intimate ceremony' at a country manor in West Sussex last month.

Darren Byfield er ikke det beste alternativet men han er jo "free agent" så han vil jo ikke koste oss noe....

Nei, og vi trenger heller ikke Freedman da, for han er jo over 34 år.  ::)
