Millwall boss Kenny Jackett has been named League One Manager of the Month for September after the Lions won four games on the bounce.

Smått utrolig at 4 seire på rad 'slår' 6 seire...  (man kan jo si det er en større prestasjon å få Millwall til å vinne fire på rad enn å få Leeds til å vinne 6, tar den   ;D  )

Men i bunn & grunn er vi vel glad til. Vinnerne av slike priser pleier å få det i trynet rimelig kjapt etterpå - og dét vil vi vel ikke. Dessuten vet jo FA at de vil få utallige muligheter til å gi Macca prisen utover sesongen :)

...og så kan vi jo ta en 'tyyypisk, FA vs Leeds...'  ::)

Litt småskuffet at ikke Macca fikk prisen for den nærmest feilfrie måneden vi har gått igjennom.

Tipper nok uansett Macca er langt mer fornøyd med å vinne alle kampene i september som et lag, enn at han vinner prisen for beste manager "alene".  8)

Selv om det tross alt henger sammen! ;)

Here's a conundrum for you: Millwall picked up 12 points in September and scored seven League One goals, but exited the JPT with a home defeat to Colchester. Leeds, on the other hand, also picked up 12 points last month (scoring 11 in the process) but they beat Bradford in the JPT and Hartlepool in the Carling Cup. So how on earth did Kenny Jackett pip Gary McAllister to the League One Manager of the Month award?


OK, the Lions inflicted current leaders Leicester's only defeat of the season so far courtesy of Gary Alexander's strike at the Walkers Stadium but you can only beat what's put in front of you.

Seriously, I'm baffled by this and am at a loss to explain it so answers on a postcard, please.

Then again, the curse of the MOTM is well known in football so maybe it's a blessing in disguise.

And you can rest assured this writer will be having a quid or two on the MK Dons to end Millwall's run on Saturday when Millwall will be looking for their sixth successive League One win.

It's just a shame McAllister hasn't got the recognition he deserves but as long as he gets the annual gong in May then I'm sure he'll be happy to let Jackett have his day in the sun.
