Brian Guillermo Montenegro MartÃnez (born 18 June 1993) is a Paraguayan footballer who plays for Leeds United in the Football League Championship, on loan from Nacional Asunción. He can play as a winger and a striker. He is a former Paraguay U20 international.

United can now confirm the loan signing of Brian Montenegro from Nacional Asunción, subject to international clearance.
The winger, who can also operate as a striker, joins up for the 2014/15 season and the deal to bring the 21-year-old to Elland Road includes the option to make the move permanent.
Montenegro is a former Paraguayan Under-20 international having made his debut in 2011. He was also involved in the FIFA Under-20 World Cup in 2013 and scored his first international goal at the tournament.
The talented forward has experience in English football after he was loaned to West Ham United during the 2011/12 season.
Brian is United’s 15th signing of the summer and the first on transfer deadline day.

Hvor er denne karen?
Virkar som han kanskje trenger meir trening. Sidan han har vore med U21 troppen og har ikkje vore på benken i kamp enda.

Maribor hadde en rimelig kjent tidligere landslagsspiller hvis navn jeg ikke kommer på i farten som sp0rtsdirektør, så det er ikke sikkert det er så annerledes.

Former Leeds United loanee Brian Montenegro appears unlikely to return to the club for 2015/16.
The Uruguayan forward was a prolific goalscorer for the under-21 side but his only real chance for the first team came in a FA Cup defeat to Sunderland.
Leeds have so far shown no interest in bringing him back to the club from Uruguayan side Nacional, and now the 22-year-old has a fresh offer on the table.
Paraguayan outlet Entorno Inteligente report Brian Montenegro is wanted by top flight side Cerro Porteno.
The club finished fourth last season, and they have made an offer to pay a small fee to take Montenegro on loan for the 2015/16 campaign.
It is reported that Montenegro had been negotiating with Brazilian side Guarani, but a deal to stay in Paraguay is more likely.
The biggest obstacle is the fact it is alleged by Entorno Inteligente that Montenegro is part-owned by a third party group of businessman, whose intention it is for the attacker to clinch a deal in European football.
Montenegro is a former Paraguay under-20 international, and had a short spell on loan with West Ham in 2011/12.
