Wilson is a left-footed attacker, who liked to drift in from the right flank at Fulham, either creating or scoring goals as he came into central positions. He noted the 3-4-2-1 formation Leeds finished last season in and the success he had playing as one of the two behind the striker in that set-up, both with Wales and Fulham.

"Speaking with the manager here, he's told me I'm a player he's watched for years and tried to get me at a couple of clubs in the past and obviously last summer as well. To have a manager, when he isn't your manager, who watches you from the outside, that's important.
"I hope when I start to work with him on a day-to-day basis, I can show him what he's seen from afar is true and hopefully we can do good things together."

Playing time was a crucial factor in Wilson's decision at 29, too. Last season, his 17 goal involvements dwarfed the tallies of seven, 10 and five he mustered in the previous three campaigns.
When he's asked for the secret of his recent success, he says it's simple. There was no tactical sorcery from Marco Silva that unlocked him. It came down to starting games and staying on until the dying stages.
He says a lot of his goals and assists came in the latter stages of matches. When he spoke to Sky Sports in the winter about his future, he said: "Wherever I am, it's got to be somewhere where I'm going to play."

Dette er jo en spiller vi vet har vært vår i et par uker allerede , men vi har vært utålmodige med klubben vår hvorfor annonseringen av Wilson har drøyd . Hadde håpet at vi fikk Wilson før sesongen 25/ 26 men slik gikk det ikke . Men nå er han hos oss ! Ryktes at Ampadu har vært innvolvert i overgangen til Wilson siden Wilson spiller på Wales med 4 Leeds spillere på laget. Nå håper jeg bare at Leeds United lykkes med flere kjøp. Darlow ryktes til Man U, Perri til Italia , og da er det vel ikke så mange keepere igjen på A laget !? En spiss, midtstopper , og keeper inn , ja takk . MOT.
Harry Wilson fikk en omgang og kvaliteten hans skinner jo gjennom fra første treningskamp.
Men for Wilson var dette første tette møte med fansen.
Wilson has had some time to get used to his new surroundings and team-mates, though he counts several of them as pals and colleagues from the Wales national team. What is completely new to him is the Leeds fanbase. They were there in numbers to show support in Tampa, even before Wilson and the squad arrived at the Raymond James Stadium.
"It's crazy," he said. "I think even before we left the hotel the lobby was full, and the send-off we got from the hotel was a real eye-opener for me. To turn up here today and see them here supporting and singing. I'm sure that's going to be a sign of things to come."

Likte veldig godt den kombinasjonen av både Wilson og Brenden i 11eren i de rommene.
For min del liker jeg bedre den dynamikken enn to offensive som søker ball og skal styre oss på siste tredjedel.
Presspillet, kvikkheten og hurtigheten til Brenden rev jo Liverpool fra hverandre.
Også synes jeg Longstaff minner litt om Stach forrige pre-season.
Kan ikke se for meg at Tanaka/Gruev spiller fremfor han.
Stabiliserende, men også sterk posisjonsnessig i og rundt motstanders boks.
Etter forrige kamp hadde Harry en sit-down med media. The Athletic er vel de første til å slippe det...

For Harry Wilson, a first pre-season under Leeds United head coach Daniel Farke has brought back memories of playing under Jurgen Klopp at Liverpool.
"I don't know if it's a German thing," he laughs, "But there's a lot of running involved."
"We've only had one day where it's been no footballs — other than the two testing days at the start. As long as the footballs are out, I don't think the lads mind it. It has been physically demanding, but we feel a lot better for it on the pitch.

Wilson says Farke's interest in him goes back much further, to the period between 2017 and 2021 when he coached Norwich City. Leeds continued to keep abreast of Wilson's thinking as his contract ran down at Fulham.
Wilson says the continued pursuit led him to prioritise Leeds even when other Premier League clubs showed an interest.
The conversations extended to a call with Leeds chairman Paraag Marathe, who recently stepped aside as the San Francisco 49ers' executive vice president of football operations to focus fully on Leeds and Scottish club Rangers.
"That was unique," Wilson said, of the chairman's involvement. "I spoke with the manager and then the chairman jumped on and said that he really wanted me. He said he was gutted that they missed out last year and he didn't want that to happen again this year. When you've got important people in the club that have phoned, that really goes a long way and ultimately that's made my decision."
Wilson is a long-time friend and team-mate of Ampadu, James and Rodon at international level.
"I almost had to block Ethan!" he smiles. "I'm just joking. Ethan, being club captain, he played a big role. DJ (James) I have played with since we were 14. I was in regular contact with the boys.
