Jason Crowe makes his second appearance of the season in the League One team after his steady appearance against Stockport County. Joining him is former Leeds midfielder and captain Jonathon Douglas.

...problemet med dÃ©t er jo at alle som er innlogget da må til siste post for å finne totalstillingen (og kem gidder vel det...)

Problemstilling:
De som ikke logger seg inn, syns det er greit å få oppdateringer i første post.
De som Ã©r innlogget, får siste innlegg først, og må til det som for dem blir siste side, siste post for å finne totalstillingen...

Dette er jo et evig dilemma slik forumet nå er lagt opp.

(Dette er ikke meg i moddis-rollen som tar stilling til noe, men er en problemstilling vi alltid møter når det blir snakk om oppdateringer...). Men, hvem skal "prioriteres", innloggede eller "ikke-innloggede"...

Men, vel, det er jo også off topic i forhold til emnet :)

Leeds trio all in the running for PFA Fans' Award

Leeds appear to be romping away with the League One title and their performances are making supporters across the country sit up and take note.

That is why three of the top four contenders for Octobers PFA Fansâ€™ Player of the Month Awards are from Elland Road. Robert Snodgrass â€“ who received the prestigious award for August/September, Bradley Johnson and perennial challenger Jermaine Beckford, are all in the frame as supporters continue to cast their votes.

Southend United might be having their off field problems but Lee Barnard is continuing to produce the goods on the park and his 12 goals have been an impressive haul for the Shrimpers.

A hat-trick and three two-goal hauls show that when Barnard is hot he is red hot and Southend supporters will be looking over their shoulders when the January transfer window opens if he continues in this rich vein of form.

Snodgrass was called into the Scotland squad for the recent friendly against Japan only for a knee injury to prevent him playing but his goals have kept him at the forefront of Leedsâ€™ supportersâ€™ thoughts.

He pipped Beckford to the post last month and that is no mean achievement with the Leedsâ€™ striker consistently in the top four.

Hardly a day goes by without transfer speculation concerning Jermaine Beckford but the jet-heeled striker lets his boots do the talking and is already in double figures again this season after his midweek brace at Bristol Rovers.

His record of scoring goals at this level is proven and there is no doubt he will â€“ injuries permitting â€“ reach the landmark of 20 goals once again this season, which will no doubt keep the vultures circling at Elland Road.

Johnson has really made his mark this season with six goals and countless assists as Leeds currently sit four points clear. A loan spell at Brighton last year showed that he didnâ€™t quite hit it off with previous boss Gary McAllister but he has flourished under Simon Grayson.

His arrival from Northampton was a proven lower League One player making the switch to Elland Road and it has paid dividends as he has F***ed into Graysonâ€™s plans perfectly.

Michael Doyle er kåret til - Johnstone's Paint Trophy's most popular player in a number four shirt

The power of Leeds United! Last Thursday a bottle of champagne arrived at Thorp Arch for Michael Doyle, freshly named as the Johnstone's Paint Trophy's most popular player in a number four shirt.

The award was made after a public vote via the Internet (something which United's supporters are adept at dominating, as the PFA's player of the month nominations regularly show) and a JPT press release described the result as "no surprise".

"He seems to be something of a cult hero," said the trophy's sponsorship manager, Teresa Hardwick.

One person who was surprised was Doyle himself, making the observation that he had not actually played in the competition.

The midfielder, pictured left, was one of the players rested last month when Leeds beat Darlington in the second round.

"I was told that I won by a long shot," he said, "which just goes to show how desperate the fans are to win things â€“ even a little award like this.

"I haven't even played in the competition and I've won the trophy. It's great!

Thereâ€™s no-one to touch Jermaine Beckford â€“ or Leeds United â€“ at the moment

Jermaine Beckford completed a hat-trick of awards for Leeds this season as they continue to dominate the PFA Fansâ€™ Player of the Month Awards...as well as League One.
Beckford has won the coveted award more than any other player since its inception and his popularity shows no sign of waning at Elland Road.
He retains the award that he also won in October and follows on from team mate Robert Snodgrass who won the award in August/September.
The plaudits keep coming in for Beckford who continues to score heavily for Leeds and is once again being touted as a potential target in the January transfer window.
There were no takers for Beckford in the summer when he was placed on the transfer list but he has subsequently been removed and continued to score goals with aplomb.
And manager Simon Grayson is already warding off potential suitors next month as he wants to keep his squad intact in order to clinch the title. â€œI'll be bracing myself for calls in January, but he won't be going anywhere,â€ Grayson said.
"Jermaine came off the transfer list in the summer and the chairman has promised me that he won't be going anywhere. If he walks away in June and we've been promoted then it'll be happy days for us because we've achieved what we need to do.
"If he leaves then that's entirely up to him. That's the risk we're running, but I'm sure he'll concentrate and keep getting his goals.â€
That is definitely Beckfordâ€™s trademark as he has already snared 14 goals this season and is on course to comfortably pass the 20-goal barrier for the third consecutive campaign at Elland Road.
Quotes from Beckford are like gold dust as he prefers to let his feet do the talking but Leeds supporters donâ€™t care as he is a cult hero with an army of followers â€“ hence all these personal awards.
With a Johnstoneâ€™s Paint Trophy Area semi final on the horizon against Accrington Stanley later this month there is every chance Beckford could be firing Leeds towards a Wembley final as well as taking a giant step towards promotion before the end of 2009.
If so, the odds must be short on the jet-heeled striker completing a hat-trick of personal awards before the Christmas decorations come down.

The 39-year-old will learn on Saturday whether he has collected his first manager of the month award of the season at the third time of asking.

Grayson was nominated for the prize in August and September but was overlooked on both occasions.

Charlton's Phil Parkinson, Swindon Town manager Danny Wilson and Huddersfield boss Lee Clark are also in contention.

Bromby who is settling into the Leeds defence had a good game at right.

Leeds United duo Jermaine Beckford and Neil Kilkenny are amongst the front runners for the PFA Fans player of the month for December.

Leeds have had a clean sweep of the award so far this season with Robert Snodgrass winning it for August and September and Beckford winning it in October and November.

Despite Beckford`s fall out with boss Simon Grayson at the weekend the fans are still backing the clubs leading goal scorer.

Neil Kilkenny is also in tremendous form since becoming a regular in the side again at the start of November.

The Australian international has chipped in with two goals during the month, helping the club stay unbeaten during December.

They face competition from Gary Dicker at Brighton and Hove Albion and Grant Holt at Norwich City.

Simon Grayson: Strikers are a precious commodity and we wonâ€™t be letting him go on the cheap

Congratulations to Jermaine Beckford after the Leeds United striker was once again named the PFA League One Fansâ€™ Player of the Month.

The 26-year-old took his seasonal tally to 20 with that memorable winning goal at Old Trafford on Sunday and, with his contract due to expire at the end of this season, it remains to be seen if the Yorkshire outfit can keep hold of their prize asset this month.

Leedsâ€™ boss Simon Grayson said: â€œThere are three scenarios with Jermaine. Either he signs a new contract, leaves at the end of the season for free or we sell him and get money which we think is too good to turn down.

â€œJermaine showed what he is all about for his goal. He worked ever so hard for his goal, took his opportunity and now has five goals in his last three games.

â€œStrikers are a precious commodity and we wonâ€™t be letting him go on the cheap. Money talks with every player but we are not looking to sell him. We donâ€™t want him to leave unless it is something that suits both him and the club. If that does happen, we will have to have replacements lined up.â€

Newcastle are the club being most strongly linked with a transfer widow swoop for Beckford, although the pacy frontmanâ€™s display against Manchester United is sure to have grabbed the attention of a number of Premier League managers.

Magpiesâ€™ boss Chris Hughton said: â€œI wasnâ€™t at Old Trafford to see Jermaine and there is no deal done yet. All we can see is that we are working very hard to bring players in and I am very confident we will get them.

â€œHis profile goes up because the (Manchester United) game was on television, but everyone knows that this is just one game. Whether he had done well or badly, he would still be a talented player. He is one of a few players we are interested in.â€

Ironically, the PFA Championship Fansâ€™ Player of the Month Billy Sharp, currently on-loan at Doncaster from Sheffield United, is the man now being talked about as a possible replacement for Beckford at Elland Road.

LUFC Duo make Team of the week
Leeds United duo Richard Naylor and Jermaine Beckford have been included in this weeks League One Team of the week.

Naylor returned at the heart of the Leeds defence after missing the previous two games through injury and helped the side keep their first clean sheet in six games.

Jermaine Beckford continues to lead the way in front of goal for Leeds; he scored both the goals in the 2-0 win over Colchester, his 23rd and 24th of the season.

The team of the week is chosen by the Press Association who choose the top eleven performing players for their positions.

The team also included former Leeds United player Frazer Richardson.

Beckford delight at double award
Leeds striker Jermaine Beckford has expressed his delight at winning the PFA Fans' Player of the Month awards for November and December.

Beckford: Wins two awards Send to friend

The 26-year-old was presented with the awards in Leeds' recent 2-0 League One victory over Colchester United at Elland Road by the winning fans of the respective months.

Beckford scored a brace in Leeds' win over The U's, although a hamstring injury prevented him from playing in their Johnstone's Paint Trophy semi-final with Carlisle on Tuesday.

The former Wealdstone striker admitted he was taken aback to win the fans' award for back-to-back months.

"I'm delighted to win the award," said Beckford. "It's nice to know that so many fans have voted for you."

Whites boss Simon Grayson is pleased Beckford, who has 18 goals from 26 League One starts this season, has been rewarded for his efforts.

"I'm delighted to see Jermaine rewarded again for all his efforts with this award," added Grayson. "The fact that it is voted for by the fans makes it all the more special and it shows how highly he is regarded by the Leeds supporters.

"Jermaine has played a big part for this club since I came here and it was a boost in January when he decided this is where he wants to stay and help finish the job off that he has played such a big part in."

Schmeichel joined Leeds from Notts County in the summer and has quickly becoming a crowd favourite following some splendid performances between the posts.

LUFC Johnson makes Team of the Week
Leeds United midfielder Bradley Johnson has been included in the Championship Team of the Week.

The midfielder scored the all-important goal in his sides 1-0 home win over Sheffield United.

He was very unlucky not to give Leeds the lead in the first half when his header was tipped around the post by Simonsen in the Sheffield goal.

Johnson earned Leeds all three points when he was on hand to tap in with only six minutes remaining on the clock after good work by Robert Snodgrass.

Also included in this weeks team were two former Leeds players. Ian Harte and Danny Graham were chosen for their performances for Reading and Watford respectively.

The team of the week is chosen by the Press Association by the top eleven performing players for their positions from the weekend games.

LUFC Leeds duo in Team of the week
Leeds United captain John Howson and new recruit Andy O`Brien have both been included in this weeks Team of the Week for their performances at Scunthorpe United on Saturday

O`Brien was making his first start for Leeds since joining on loan from Bolton Wanderers towards the end of last week and he made an assured start including a goal line clearance in only the second minute.

Howson scored his first competitive hat trick for Leeds when he scored three times during a fifteen-minute spell in the second half.

Also included in the side was former Leeds United left back Ian Harte who scored one of his trademark free kicks in Reading`s win over Doncaster.

The team of the week is chosen by the Press Association for the top eleven performing players for their positions over the weekend`s games.

LUFC Grayson once again overlooked
Simon Grayson has once again been overlooked for the Manager of the Month award.

Despite going unbeaten during the month of November, the npower Championship manager of the month award went to Bristol City manager Keith Millen, a side that Leeds defeated 3-1 during the month.

Grayson failed to pick up the award last season in League One, despite Leeds leading the division by twelve points going into the New Year after suffering just the one defeat.

Although it`s a panel of ex professionals who make the decision, I think it once again shows just how much the Football League dislike Leeds United and have some sort of influence over the decision.

Ofte viser det seg at alle som blir nedvurdert blir gjerne litt forbanna og kommer enda sterkere tilbake. Viktig med god tenning og et ønske om å vise noe. Ikke komme i forsvarsposisjon og følge opp utmerkelser midt i sesongen. Nei, vent med dette til sesongen er over.

Selv om en keeper spiller bra er det sjelden han legges spesielt merke til av nøytrale dersom han slipper inn et par mål...

LUFC Snodgrass in Team of the Week
Leeds United winger Robert Snodgrass has been included in this weeks Championship Team of the Week for his performance against Norwich City.

Snodgrass is currently in a rich vein of form and he continued that in the 2-2 draw with Norwich at Elland Road on Saturday.

The Scottish international was a constant threat down the right for Leeds and he was also involved in the build up to the first goal scored by Luciano Becchio, when his flick header was bundled in by the Argentinian.

The team of the week is chosen by the Press Association for the top eleven performing players for their positions over the weekend`s games.

Leeds' young talent has impressed in the Championship this week. He picked up the Man of the Match award against table-toppers Crystal Palace at the weekend and won the Whites a decisive penalty against Leicester on Tuesday. Byram was a constant threat going forward.

Jerome Thomas - Leeds United

One of Warnock's loan deadline day signings has added a much-needed threat going forward for Leeds. He has impressed since joining from West Brom and has drastically changed the way Leeds play. Thomas is able to provide Luciano Becchio the service he has craved.

Roofe said: â€œIt has all stemmed from our pre-season. It has been the best pre-season I have had so far â€“ the hardest â€“ and the style of play that Marcelo is giving us and educating us with is obviously showing. The style of play with the ball, without the ball, our fitness and off the pitch as well, every day heâ€™s educating us on how to be better people as well.

â€œI feel like I can express myself a bit more. I am playing in a position where I can show what I can actually do and also the team plays to my strengths as well and also to everyone elseâ€™s strengths. We are not doing something weâ€™re not capable of doing.â€

Sky Sportsâ€™ EFL pundit Don Goodman said: â€œRoofe had a good season last year, but looks to have been transformed by the pre-season that Bielsa took the team through.

â€œHe contributed not only with his four goals, nearly a third of the league goals he scored in the entirety of last season, but his link-up play, with two assists.â€™â€™

Sky Bet EFL trader Mikey Mumford said: â€œLeeds signed Patrick Bamford for Â£10m just before the season, but such has been the form of Roofe that Bamford has been unable to get a look in at Elland Road."

He said: â€œMarcelo arrived in England this summer with a tremendous reputation, which is clearly warranted based on how Leeds have performed in the opening six games.

Marcelo Bielsa looked unopposed for Augustâ€™s manager-of-the-month award, regardless of Tony Pulis matching him point-for-point in the Championship. There is no more than a sliver between Leeds United and Middlesbrough but the EFLâ€™s prize went to Bielsa, in recognition of the way he has gatecrashed the league. In modest fashion he declined to be photographed with it yesterday.

At the same time, Kemar Roofe was named player of the month in a contest which Leeds alone could have provided several candidates for. August saw telling displays from Mateusz Klich and Pablo Hernandez and plenty of other supporting roles but it was Roofeâ€™s effectiveness up front which tipped the balance in his favour.

Roofeâ€™s physique and his game have rarely seemed suited to the role of a lone centre-forward but Bielsaâ€™s philosophy â€“ ball on the ground, slick passing and possession played into Roofeâ€™s feet â€“ allowed him to thrive and manipulate their results last month. Four goals and two assists in six league games underlined his impact but Bielsa gained as much gratification from the movement and energy which helped Leeds tick.

Roofe scored 14 times last season, the highest tally in Unitedâ€™s squad, but it is only now, two years on from a move from Oxford United, that he has found his niche position. Leedsâ€™ concern about the potency of their team prompted the Â£7m signing of Patrick Bamford from Middlesbrough before the permanent transfer deadline but Roofeâ€™s form has denied Bamford much of a look-in.

The 25-year-old is the first United squad member to win the player-of-the-month award since Chris Wood at the start of 2017. No coach at Elland Road has won the managerial version since December 2010, when Simon Graysonâ€™s reign was at its height, and the club have never claimed both in the same month.

Roofe credited his form and the clubâ€™s rise to the top of the Championship to the intensity of a summer in which Bielsa imposed his style mercilessly.

â€œItâ€™s showing in our performances, as a team and individuals, and itâ€™s all stemmed from our pre-season,â€ Roofe said. â€œItâ€™s the best pre-season Iâ€™ve had so far, the hardest, and the style of play Marceloâ€™s given us is showing â€“ with the ball, without the ball, our fitness and off the pitch as well. Every day heâ€™s educating us about how to improve as people too. Iâ€™ve won this award so my game must have improved. I feel like I can express myself a bit more. Iâ€™m playing in a position where I can show what I can actually do. The team plays to my strengths and everyone elseâ€™s strengths. Weâ€™re not doing something weâ€™re not capable of.â€

The best of Roofeâ€™s goals came in a 4-1 win at Derby County on the second weekend of the season: a glorious hanging header in the first half and a superb turn and finish to kill the game after the break.

Roofe picked out the second of those efforts as the best of them. â€œEverything just seemed to slow down, as if it was in slow motion,â€ he said. â€œI went with the flow, it came off and it worked.â€

Leeds finished August with 14 points, an unbeaten league record and impressive statistics at both ends of the field. Roofe refused to read too much into the Championship table but admitted the international break had arrived at a frustrating time, much as it is allowing Hernandez, Gaetano Berardi and Adam Forshaw time to recover from injury.

â€œWe know whatâ€™s going on (in the league) but we donâ€™t take much notice of it, just because weâ€™re concentrated on improving every day,â€ Roofe said. â€œWeâ€™d have wished for the international break not to be here but itâ€™s a chance to rest and then work hard to get better for the games when they come.â€

WHITES DUO NAMED IN SKY BET CHAMPIONSHIP TEAM OF THE SEASON

Leeds United duo Liam Cooper and Kalvin Phillips have been named in the 2018/19 EFL Sky Bet Championship Team of the Season, as chosen by the 24 managers and head coaches in the division.

Captain Cooper has made 30 league starts for the Whites this season, with the centre-back skippering the side to victory in 17 of those matches.

The defender has been at the heart of the Leeds defence throughout the campaign, leading from the back, with the Whites keeping 12 clean sheets when he has been in defence.

Phillips has excelled for Leeds in a deeper role this season, which has brought out some scintillating performances from the 23-year-old.

Traditionally through the campaign, Phillips has sat in the holding role in front of the defence, but has also covered at centre-back, playing beyond his years.

Phillips has made a total of 35 Championship appearances for Leeds this season scoring one goal.

Everyone at Leeds United would like to congratulate Liam and Kalvin on this achievement.

The Leeds United playmaker is one of four nominees for the EFL gong

Pablo Hernandez's excellent recent form has been recognised after he was listed among the four nominees for the Sky Bet Championship Player of the Month for March.

Joining the Leeds United playmaker on the list are Rotherham Unitedâ€™s Semi Ajayi, Norwich Cityâ€™s Emiliano Buendia and Sheffield Unitedâ€™s Jack Oâ€™Connell.

The list has been put together by a judging panel made up of Sky Sportsâ€™ EFL expert Don Goodman; League Managersâ€™ Association Director Olaf Dixon and Sky Bet EFL Trader Ivor Davies.

The reason for Pabloâ€™s nomination is: â€œA consistent contributor all season, the Spaniard was exceptional in March. Silky smooth when running with the ball and a superb timer of shots, he scored five goals from a wide position and also set up two for teammates.â€

Hernandez netted five times in March
Leeds fans were stunned by Pabloâ€™s omission from the Sky Bet Championship Team of the Year last month which included his teammates Liam Cooper and Kalvin Phillips.

During March, Hernandez played all five games, scoring five goals and setting up two other goals.

The second tier's best XI voted for by the players has been announced

Three Leeds United players have been chosen by their peers as part of the Championshipâ€™s best XI for 2018/19, including Pablo Hernandez.

Hernandez was a notable omission from the EFLâ€™s Championship Team of the Season, which was voted for by the 24 managers in the division.

However, his fellow professionals have deemed the Spaniard one of the three best midfielders in the division for the campaign.

Liam Cooper, who was included in the managersâ€™ XI, is named in defence alongside Pontus Jansson.
