The club were even offered advice as to why this position was superfluous and offered a far more streamlined, result driven and accountable alternative that would have cost a fraction of his salary with proven success. Again, no reply. It's a f**king joke, from Paynter chomping Nando's, to this and Bates offending a large quota of our support and no investment in the team. Where's the direction to succeed? I can't see any.
Worse than that, it's strategically flawed. Where did he get his degree, in prison? To maximise revenue you seek to or appear to reward your existing customer base, open it to potential new customers to broaden your possible retentions and then charge in the next phase. f**k me, I did my marketing degree over 20 years ago and still retain more of the key components of a successful launch in my left lughole than this chancer has in his entire arsenal. Bates once asked me what I did other than the clothing and I said marketing, he said 'you'll take over from me when I'm dead'. I'm not sure I'm up to that but I could do this schmuk's job in my sleep. Sell a product to an aspirational, captive, committed and permanent customer base? Like shelling f**king peas and they still cock it up and disenfranchise their customer base on top. Pitiful, really pitiful. On the same day the chairman calls all our vast and loyal 35 year+ Scandinavian supporters 'so called Leeds fans'.
