Luis Sinisterra’s talent as a footballer is undoubted, but what is doubted is his capability to play a full, gruelling, 46 game Championship campaign.
After the dramatic turn of events last night it’s now impossible to say, but as he started less than a third of Leeds’ Premier League games last season because of injury, I doubt it.
The manor of Sinisterra’s departure has somewhat overshadowed the arrival of Jaidon Anthony, who although might be an unknown quantity to most Leeds fans, has started 2 out of Bournemouth’s 3 opening Premier League fixtures.
Furthermore, the 23 year old started 38 games in Bournemouth’s promotion from the Championship the season before last, scoring 8 goals and providing 7 assists (featuring in every game that campaign).
Now the dust has settled, Anthony will be a valuable player for Leeds this season, and more importantly a player who wants to be at Elland Road for the Championship campaign.
