Just to confirm, Milanic is a suit-and-shirt coach. No Macron in sight. Too suave for a tie too.

33
@PhilHayYEP: As far as Redfearn is concerned, I think to an extent he wants to give Milanic space to get on with the job. No issue between them. #lufc

Neil Redfearn won't be in the dug-out today. He's reverted to his academy role since Milanic's arrival. #lufc

Giuseppe Bellusci shone as Leeds United drew at Birmingham City - from a statistical angle at least; simply watching the game he was unimpressive.

In a world of statistics, quite often you can watch a football match, form an opinion and yet have 'facts' tell yu the complete opposite.

One such case was illustrated at the weekend when Leeds United clinched an impressive draw at St Andrews in the Championship's early kick off, with Giuseppe Bellusci the man concerned.

Statistically - he put in a dominant performance, as the following illustrates...

Bellusci made an impressive 15 effective clearances - by contrast the Birmingham back four made 17.
The Italian defender was responsible for blocking three shots.
He won four aerial duels, with the rest of the Leeds back four winning three combined.
Bellusci's two tackles won, also doubled Pearce, Warnock and Berardi's contributions, winning just one between them.
His four interceptions made was a figure matched only by impressive teenager Lewis Cook in midfield.
Opta powered website whoscored.com listed Bellusci as Leeds' top performing player.

Yet when watching the game played by the summer signing from Catania, he was still unimpressive.

The centre-back was largely at fault for the goal scored by Wes Thomas, and lacked composure on the ball. If being judged on the 'eye test' of a watching observer, he would likely have failed whichever the criteria, he simply did not look good.

With another summer signing, young Liam Cooper, on the bench waiting for another chance, Bellusci did not knock it out of the park as the figures seemed to suggest, and the match is likely to be one which causes him to divide opinion among even his own fans.

Leeds United striker Ross McCormack had told Leeds owner Massimo Cellino he wants to leave the club this summer, according to The Sun.

The 27-year old striker has been subject to fierce interest following a superb season in which he scored 28 league goals and finished as the Championships top goalscorer.

Ross McCormack has told the club he wants to leave this summer

Following this past season, McCormack has been linked with various moves away, including potential switches to Cardiff City, Fulham and even Premier League outfit Newcastle United.

However, none of the teams interested have agreed to the demanded terms of Leeds’ owner Cellino who remains adamant of keeping the former Rangers player at the club.

But, he may now be forced into the selling the 27-year old who told him that he wants to leave the club following a face-to-face meeting.

It is believed that they do still want in excess of £8 million for the striker but he may now be allowed to move cheaper than wanted.

According to reports in the Italian media Aston Villa and Leeds United are both in the hunt for Brazilian forward Jefferson. The 26 year old is currently on loan with Serie B side Latina but could become available in the summer.

TMW have reported today that the two English sides are showing an interest in the player but they will have to wait until Latina have finished their season. The club are currently involved in a play off to get into Serie A and are due to play Bari in the semi final 2nd leg on Wednesday. Jefferson’s main objective at the moment is get his club promoted before he decides on his future.

It has been claimed that his agent is already in England to find possible suitors for his client and that he will meet both Aston Villa and Leeds regarding the player, after interest was shown from both to sign him. A big plus for both sides is that Jefferson will not need to apply for a work permit despite coming from Brazil. The forward has a Spanish passport meaning he can work without a permit in any EU country.

Jefferson is something of a journey man who has spent most of the past few years out on loan with various clubs. He signed for Italian side Fiorentina in 2008 after impressing in his home country but he never made any appearances for the club. He had a loan spell with his current club Latina during the 2011/12 season and was later to join the club on a permanent basis.

Håper på riktig stor manager-turn over i Leeds.
