Leeds United have a very real interest in West Ham United striker Jordan Hugill, and are looking to sign him on a season long loan deal according to a reliable journalist.

Alan Nixon of the Sun has confirmed on his twitter page that the Yorkshire club are interested in bringing Hugill to Elland Road, just six months after he left the Sky Bet Championship for the top flight.

He also confirmed that Queens Park Rangers are also interested in the 26-year-old, but that the decision on where he goes is up to both himself and West Ham United.

Leeds won’t be in for Jack Grealish – but plenty think we should be knocking on the door for Jonathan Kodjia and James Chester as they would definitely improve us. A few aren’t as convinced when it comes to the wages front but that could, of course, be possibly offset by how hard a bargain we are able to strike on the transfer fee side.

Leeds United are reportedly looking into the prospects of AFC Bournemouth striker, Lewis Grabban. The Whites have appointed Marcelo Bielsa as their head coach who has started scouting for more additions ahead of the 2018/19 season.

The Argentine boss was quoted, “For the moment we are not intending to bring too many new faces in. From my point of view the club have plenty of players on the books who I believe we should keep. The club generally have 15 players more than we need and we still have four or five different positions where we need to strengthen.”

På tur til England / Sv: Bergen - Leeds, hvordan reiser dere?

Spør du meg er Manchester International det jeg foretrekker. Da er det tog direkte til Leeds sentrum fra flyplassen (tar som regel ca 75 minutter), og oftest slipper du å bytte tog. Fra Liverpool og Newcastle er det drøye to timer med tog, i tillegg til at man må komme seg fra flyplass til bysentrum for å nå toget.

Leeds/Bradford flyplass er et klart alternativ, men da må man via Amsterdam. Fra Leeds/Bradford er det ikke tog til Leeds sentrum, men en helt grei flybuss på 35/40 minutter.

Fra Bergen er det som oftest mellomlanding som må til (Gardermoen, København, Amsterdam) for å komme seg til Manchester, men SAS har en fin direkterute fredag kveld/retur mandag kveld. Til høsten skal Braaten starte opp direkterute fra Bergen til Liverpool...

Man kan selvsagt ta direktefly til en Londonflyplass også, men da må man først komme seg til Kings Cross og deretter ha en drøy totimers togtur til Leeds, ofte med togbytte i Petersborough.

RELIABLE JOURNALIST PROVIDES EXCITING LEEDS UNITED TRANSFER UPDATE


Leeds United are getting serious in their quest to sign Matej Vydra from Derby County this summer.

Vydra has emerged as a major transfer target for Leeds and Marcelo Bielsa this summer, with Alan Nixon, often a reliable source on Twitter, confirming that whilst a deal will cost the Whites, they are getting serious about bringing him on board.
The reliable journalist also revealed that Leeds have been looking at an alternative, but Bielsa’s admiration of Vydra is well known.

Last season, Vydra won the Championship’s golden boot, after scoring 21 goals for Derby to help them to sixth the table.

The 26-year-old finished the campaign with 22 goals across all competitions, with Vydra producing one of his best campaigns in English football under Gary Rowett.

The Czech forward arrived at Derby in an £8m deal back in 2016, with the Rams wanting to make a significant profit should he leave Pride Park this summer.

According to the Yorkshire Evening Post’s Phil Hay, Derby will want around £12m for Vydra’s service this summer.

Sky Bet Championship fixtures revealed.
Leeds United’s Sky Bet Championship fixtures have been announced and a new era will begin under Marcelo Bielsa with recently relegated Premier League side Stoke City visiting Elland Road on Sunday 5th August (4:30pm) in front of the Sky Sports cameras.

The first away fixture of the campaign will see the Whites come up against Frank Lampard’s Derby County at Pride Park on Saturday 11th August.

Our first Yorkshire derby of the season will see Leeds take on Rotherham United the following week at Elland Road on Saturday 18th August.

Leeds will entertain Blackburn Rovers on Boxing Day at Elland Road and travel to the City Ground to take on Nottingham Forest on New Year’s Day.

Over the Easter period, United will take on Wigan Athletic at Elland Road on Friday 19th April (Good Friday) and travel to Brentford on Monday 22nd April (Easter Monday).

Our last match at Elland Road will see the Whites come up against Aston Villa on Saturday 27th April, before the season comes to a close the following week against Ipswich Town at Portman Road on Sunday 5th May.

You can be part of all of the action during  the 2018/19 campaign with a Leeds United Season Ticket, which are available from £349 per adult, equating to £15.18 per game, whilst  junior season tickets start at just £3.13 per game.

Over the past week, there have been rumblings over the future of many Leeds United players. Felix Wiedwald is gone whilst Marcus Antonsson is imminent. Tyler Denton, Gaetano Berardi, and others are also being linked with the Elland Road exit door. Including Kemar Roofe.

Twitter has been awash with rumours about the forward’s future. A £7m bid from Reading has even been mooted, as reported by the Reading Chronicle. Whilst there is nothing official on this point, the former Oxford United man is seemingly a target for his former club’s local rivals.

Leeds United have the option to loan Manchester City midfielder Phil Foden this summer, as reported by The72 earlier today.

The 18-year-old is highly-rated by the Premier League champions but could leave them on loan this summer to gain some regular first-team experience.

Foden has already played 10 games for Manchester City and made his debut for them in November 2017 in a Champions League game against Feyenoord. He was born in Stockport and joined City’s academy at the age of 8 so rose through the youth ranks at the Etihad Stadium.

He became the youngest ever player to receive a Premier League winner and also won the League Cup last season. Foden has also previously won the FIFA Under-17 World Cup in which he also won the Golden Ball for that tournament.
