LUFC Bruce suffered groin injuryLeeds United defender Alex Bruce was forced off very early in yesterday`s win over Queens Park Rangers after
suffering a groin injury in the warm up.
Bruce lasted just ten minutes before being replaced by Leigh Bromby at the heart of the Leeds defender.
The defender had already received treatment and the PA announcer had already announced the substituution five minutes before it eventually happened.
Leeds soss Simon Grayson confirmed the injury when speaking on Radio Leeds after the game when he said, "He got a groin injury in the warm up, felt he was ok to start but got a reoccurrence of it quite quickly."
With fellow central defender Andy O`Brien already on the sidelines it gave Leigh Bromby the opportunity to take his chance.
Bromby making only his second appearance of the season put in an accomplished performance alongside Neil Collins at the heart of the Leeds defence and helped the side to their first clean sheet at home since September.
Leeds boss Simon Grayson will be hoping that both Bruce and O`Brien can quickly return to action with the busy Christmas period of fixtures now upon us.
