The arrival of Darko Milanic at Leeds United brings to an end the entertaining spell of Neil Redfearn as caretaker manager.
Redfearn did a great job following the sacking of David Hockaday with three wins and a draw from his four games in temporary charge of the team.

There’s not much contest here as Redfearn’s team scored a substantially higher number of goals and as a result, were far more entertaining to watch.
Goals Conceded
Redfearn also improved the defence considerably and that helped his team to pick up more points. Fingers crossed Darko Milanic is able to continue that positive trend which was created by the temporary boss.
On Target Attempts
The number of attempts that Redfearn’s side had on target is almost double when compared to Hockaday’s four games in charge. Greater freedom and more responsibility appear to have been given to Leeds’ forward players with Redfearn at the helm.
Tackles
There’s not too much between the sides in these areas. Leeds have always been well supported and that noise and atmosphere created by their fans both home and away seems to have had a similar effect on Hockaday’s and Redfearn’s teams in terms of inspiring them to get stuck in.
Leeds have an extremely talented midfield, which is well suited to break up the play effectively.
Interceptions and Passing Accuracy
There’s also pretty much nothing to chose between the two Leeds bosses this season in either of these areas.

What that suggests is that Redfearn’s side have been more precise with their cutting edge going forward and were a little more resilient defensively, which made them more difficult to break down.
It gives Milanic some impressive core stats, which have been maintained through big changes at the club, to work with and develop further.
