Super Leeds since 1968

Beren Cross har fått Kemar Roofe i tale - insiktsfullt stoff!

Om Elland Road:
He added: "Elland Road is not the biggest stadium, but I don't know what it is that makes the atmosphere there so mental. The fans are so passionate, but I really don't know what it is, the combination of the fans or the way the stadium is designed, but yes, seriously special moments."

Første møtet med Bielsa:
From the first meeting, when he got us all into that room and explained to us his philosophy and his way of playing.

"We left that room, went back to the dressing room, just giggling to ourselves, 'What have we just witnessed here?'. We were blown away, but then learning it, doing it every day in training, it is genius.

"When I left Leeds, I went and saw Bielsa, to (explain) the scenario of what was going on with myself, the owner and Anderlecht, to give him an update because I'm not sure if he knew. He wasn't happy I was leaving at all.

Life was far from easy for the Leeds players under Bielsa's tutelage. It was hard work seven days a week, endless training and drills which pushed them to, and sometimes beyond, their physical limits.

It worked, though. The players tolerated the workload because they were winning. They would go toe-to-toe in 'murderball' because it meant they ran over whoever they would face on the following Saturday.

laying remains his priority, but Roofe inevitably has one eye on the future. The day before we spoke, he had completed the third and final assessment of his UEFA B Licence.

He hopes qualifications like that will aid the academy he recently started in Walsall and, perhaps, open doors into professional coaching when he retires from scoring goals.

Naturally, Bielsa's influence on his appreciation for coaching is clear.

Tell me - I've got to know
Tell me - Tell me before I go
Does that flame still burn, does that fire still glow
Or has it died out and melted like the snow
Tell me  Tell me
