How the bookmakers reacted to the Championship play-off semi-final first legs
Leeds United and Aston Villa both claimed Championship play-off semi-final first leg leads on Saturday.
Marcelo Bielsa's side claimed a 1-0 win against Derby County at Pride Park in the day's late game, thanks to Kemar Roofe's 55th minute strike.
In the day's earlier clash Aston Villa came from behind to beat local rivals West Brom 2-1 at Villa Park. In a further blow for the Baggies, striker Dwight Gayle was sent off in the closing stages and will miss the return leg at The Hawthorns on Tuesday night.
Frank Lampard will need to snap a three-game losing streak against Bielsa's side at Elland Road on Wednesday evening if the Rams are to prevent the Whites from reaching the Wembley final.
Leeds claimed a first leg win at Pride Park
Leeds' 1-0 victory saw them bounce back from their poorest run of form this season, as they entered the clash winless in their last four matches, but turned in a much-improved performance.
That in turn, has strengthened their position with the bookies, who have Leeds as the favourites to win promotion at the end of the month.
Aston Villa are narrowly behind Leeds, with Derby the rank outsiders.
Here's how the bookies rate each side's chances:
To win promotion (via oddschecker)
Leeds - 5/4
Aston Villa - 6/4
West Brom - 13/2
Derby - 8/1
To qualify for the final
Leeds - 1/14
Aston Villa - 1/3
West Brom - 9/4
Derby - 13/2
