berty (Leeds United): Word on the street is that Steve Parkin is close to completing the buy out of Leeds Utd (May/June completion). His plans are to enter into partnership with a very wealthy Saudi investor (probably the same one sniffing around in November). Former Leeds board member, Adam Pearson will also be a member of the consortium and will also be confirmed as club Chairman. I just hope that it's quick this time and that we get Elland Road and Thorpe Arch back. It could be that GFH were being geared up as the 'consultancy team' to wrest the club away from Bates and given their middle east links, the perfect patner to hand over to the Saudi buyer.. I also think that the original buyer was a Bahraini, but he pulled out around October/November last year. The Saudi interest was probably all that kept 'part-one' of the buyout alive last year. I think this is all a deliberate two-stage plan (albeit 'plan B').
