LUFC Evans - No bid from Leeds for Agard Rotherham United boss Steve Evans has said that Leeds United have expressed an interest in Kieran Agard but have yet to bid for the striker.
Evans also admitted that the millers have already turned down a bid from League One side Bristol City for the former Arsenal academy player and there are a number of other clubs interested in Agard, who scored 26 goals for Rotherham last season.
Speaking to BBC Radio Sheffield on Thursday morning, Evans said, "There are clubs interested in Kieran. There have been bids but as yet, none have met my satisfaction.
"The chairman has made it clear that Steve Evans will decide whether a bid is to be accepted and at this moment in time, no-one has put an offer in to me that I have been able to discuss with the chief executive and recommend to our chairman that he be sold.
"Leeds United have expressed an interest but I don`t think they have made a formal bid. Bristol City have had a bid turned down but they are not alone."
The 24-year-old turned down the offer of a new deal with Rotherham this summer and he is now in the final year of his contract.
Despite turning down a new deal, Agard has started both of Rotherham`s games so far this season.
