So if other groups have complete DD then what makes these bids different? Or are these 2 the only that have complete DD? Did anyone complete it whilst the fee was in place?
(it's a genuine question btw)
Do you know of anyone completing DD and that ending their interest?
I don't know why but I trust you and what you say but I am interested in how much trust you place in your sources? Are you 100% they are telling you the truth? Are they getting their info from anyone party?
Cheers petter.
Not much difference in the bidders I think, rather the pressure on MC to sell. Others have completed DD before these current bidders, but negotiations broke down.
Nobody has paid the £5m extortion fee, it no longer exists.
As far as I know regarding DD, there are stuff there that increases risk for any buyer, hence lengthy negotiations on terms after DD. I'd assum,e the current bidders also will have found a few things, but nothing that can't be ironed out so long as the pressure on MC to sell remains.
Thanks for the trust you put in me - appreciated
I trust my sources 100 % - a few of them requires extra checks on the info with other sources as they get it via friends connected to law firms/financial circles and so on, requiring verifications etc. It's a shame to be honest that so many have been hounded out of WACCOE previously - plenty of others out there that have even better contacts than I do, but they just can't be arsed to share in public fora's. Plenty of information out there to be honest, if you just know where to look, and don't resort to abuse etc... Open your ears, have a look around, and it's amazing what people will be willing to tell you.
I think there's people who mean well and post stuff in all good faith and people who are balloons , it's difficult to cut through them and make head or tail of shit , toma should have us all as sceptical as f**k , I won't believe f**k all till it pulls up outside our house
Lesson learned
All sorts of stuff can happen in corporate negotiations. That's just the way it is, and there's nothing any of us can do about that.
What is important though, is that regardless of who comes in, they get the same scrutiny a few of us have given both GFH and Cellino. Would be great if more joined in on that tbh. Lot's of clever and resourceful people on here.
In my opinion, anyone coming in will have to earn our respect and adoration. They are nothing but temporary guardians of the club after all, and in it for their own personal gains, be it monetary or via other motivations. Our respect and gratitude should never start from day one. It should start the moment we see that things are turning around and we're heading in the right direction again.
We've been far to soft previously. I hope, after GFH and Cellino, that most LUFC fans will have learned their lessons.
Dont remember anyone saying a bid had been accepted, just due dilligence had been done by two parties
It's correct. First bids are accepted - that opens door for DD. Then you go through the DD and find the odd financial black holes and so on, then you go back to the seller and start negotiating final terms of the deal, based on your findings (which normally alters the final price from the one that was accepted).
I'm sure I speak for many on here when I say thanks for the information you provide - it's much appreciated
Based on what you know currently, are you still confident that a deal will be done this time, and will it be beneficial to the club?
More confident now then I was when Genting Group had a go last year. MC's situation has changed - funding has been cut, and even selling Byram and Cook can only keep us on life support. We're 21st, so promotion looks almost impossible already (I know, still early, but would you bet on promo?). He's going to have to repay what he owes the family trust left by his father at one point, and with both his siblings, his wife and kids, as well as his advisors wanting him to sell, I really honestly can't see him staying on much longer.
