Leeds United have approached, and had a bid accepted for the Spanish Goalkeeper, Kiko Casilla, according to Leeds Media, and are set to announce the completion of the signing this Monday.
Casilla is 32 years old, and the 3rd choice Goalkeeper for European giants, Real Madrid. He’s a Goalkeeper who has Champions league experience, and is no stranger to playing out of the back at Real Madrid.
With a Goalkeeper of his experience coming in, it is no doubt that he is intended as the number 1, ahead of the Leeds United prodigy, Peacock-Farrell.
Casilla is a name that has been thrown around inside the club, but with negotiations with Karl Darlow being unsuccessful, it means that Casilla is someone Leeds had in mind as an alternative our team believes.
His career and status isn’t befitting by being a third choice Goalkeeper at his age, meaning a move to Leeds United isn’t unlikely. It is understood that Leeds have had a bid accepted, and player negotiations are going smoothly, with the wage of the Goalkeeper already agreed.
According to reports, Leeds are ready to announce the experienced Keeper this coming Monday if negotiations remain successful.
