The takeover has seen green lights and white smoke across the club.
Ampadu is a start. Goalkeeper looks next most likely. Left-back coming to the fore too. Aggressive remains 49ers' chosen word.
Meslier, Gnonto and Summerville back in training.

1. 50 dager mellom nedrykk til vi offisielt hadde nye eiereConfidence has been there, along the stadium’s corridors, the new era would arrive and the deal would get done, but patience has been needed. There were 12 agonising days between relegation and agreement between Aser Ventures and 49ers Enterprises, before another 38 days until EFL finally said everything was above board.
Since the news arrived at 10.15pm on Monday, the pressure valve on Elland Road has slowly turned, releasing the flow of developments which have been worked on over the past few weeks. Daniel Farke’s appointment could not have waited until this week and was taken on the chin at the start of the month with Andrea Radrizzani still, technically, at the helm.
Loan exits were also not something Paraag Marathe and the incoming board were going to delay for their official unveiling. A restructure of the club’s football department, though, is the kind of material change a new ownership wants to bring.
2. Hammond kanskje permanent???Gretar Steinsson’s appointment and a well-earned promotion for Adam Underwood were the headlines in the post-Orta-Radrizzani world, while Nick Hammond has impressed enough to have the time frame removed from his role. Initially seen as someone likely to move on in September, there is every chance the former Celtic recruiter stays on to work with Steinsson.
3. Ikke noe imminent på transferfronten as of yetThe restructure was swiftly followed by the long-awaited first senior arrival of the summer. Roughly 24 hours after the change in ownership, Ethan Ampadu was posing for pictures at the ground with Hammond and Steinsson.
It’s recruitment which has been in the planning for several weeks that can now be unleashed with the release of Marathe et al’s vision. It doesn’t stop with Ampadu, of course. LeedsLive understands, as of Wednesday morning, the Whites were not expecting their next arrival imminently.
Goalkeeper has emerged as the most likely position to be added next. Karl Darlow remains a target Leeds are very keen on, with high hopes they can reach an agreement with him and Newcastle United.
Left-back is another target area which seems to be bubbling to the surface for the Whites. Steinsson and Hammond may be going to market later than some of their closest Championship competitors, but there remains a confidence in the aggressive budget they are wielding under the new ownership.
British players or those with a known profile in this country are finding their way to the top of the shortlists Hammond is presenting to Farke, as shown with the acquisition of Ampadu and targeting of Darlow. Retention remains a key facet of this new ownership’s strategy too.
