Mht forsvaret har han et interessant take - det er jo de samme folkene. MEN...
Biggest problem to fix?
The past two years have been a damning indictment of Leeds’ defending. The automatic answer to this would be to say that fixing that part of the team is priority number 1. But Farke’s system is different to Jesse Marsch’s and defensively, the way in which United set up — with their attention to retaining possession — might serve to tighten them up naturally.
Men såå var det målene:
The bigger question seems to be: where are the goals coming from? It’s not that Leeds have no attacking quality in their team, but it is impossible to look back at either of Norwich’s promotions under Farke and ignore the influence of Teemu Pukki. Who in this United squad is scoring 20-plus goals? Can Patrick Bamford do it? Can Georginio Rutter? The jury is out on that front — especially with both going off injured in their final friendly — and history shows that many of the sides who escape the Championship have someone truly prolific in their line-up.
Skal langtfra gi alt her, men ja:
What you might have missed in pre-season?
The positioning of outfield players when Leeds are looking to play out from the back. With the goalkeeper on the ball, you’ll see the left-back invert into a central zone, central midfielders shift to the wings and, overall, a set-up that creates a variety of passing options. Tactically, Farke’s side should be pretty interesting to analyse.
Oooog, vi trenger mer:
What do they still need to do in the transfer market?
Plenty. In my view, they need a nine, a 10, more in the centre of midfield and at centre-back — and please, for goodness’ sake, sign a left-back who can consistently serve up 7/10 performances. The thing about Ampadu is that he looks like a very sensible transfer. He was a player Leeds needed in a position they needed to strengthen. The club tried to be too clever in the Premier League and paid the price as a result.
