Apropo, Norwich vil ikke bli "en walk in the park". De har altså holdt nullen (og fått to poeng av det) i to av sine tre siste kamper...
Leeds United line-ups for Norwich City as Jack Harrison and Daniel James face the axeLeeds United visit Norwich City in the Premier League on Sunday with an array of choices at Marcelo Bielsa's disposal so we tasked our club writers to name the XIs they would pickBy Beren Cross/Joe Donnohue 08:00, 30 OCT 2021Beren CrossIt’s hard to disagree with the Leeds United side I expect Marcelo Bielsa to put out on Sunday at Norwich City.
I’ll stick with the 3-3-1-3 system I expect him to field against Norwich’s 3-5-2 and keep the back-three and goalkeeper as you would expect.
Jamie Shackleton has been in excellent form, so has to continue on the right while Stuart Dallas has done enough in recent weeks to keep out a rusty Junior Firpo.
Kalvin Phillips is the first name on the teamsheet as the holding midfielder in a formation which we know can look very exposed through the centre.
I expect Shackleton and Dallas may need to tuck in and pick up two of the three central midfielders Daniel Farke could deploy.
As tempted as I am by Joe Gelhardt, I cannot see him or Rodrigo doing the job Mateusz Klich can as the attacking midfielder behind the front three.
Klich at least has the head of a central midfielder and should help out with dominating that middle part of the field.
Raphinha can keep tabs on the left wing-back while Daniel James has edged out Jack Harrison in recent weeks, for me.
Beren’s XI: Meslier; Llorente, Struijk, Cooper; Shackleton, Phillips, Dallas; Klich; Raphinha, Rodrigo, James.
Joe DonnohueNorwich have scored twice in nine games, picking up two points in the process, courtesy of two 0-0 draws. Their latest result was a 7-0 thrashing at the hands of a Romelu Lukaku and Timo Werner-less Chelsea.
It should be a straightforward three points on Sunday, right?
Probably not in all honesty. Norwich will be looking at Leeds as a potential scalp, an attainable one too. If they aren't beating teams currently 17th at Carrow Road, then where are their wins going to come from this season?
Onto formations then, and Leeds are likely to go with a three-man defence, which usually indicates a 3-3-1-3 formation. The Canaries have gone with a 3-5-2 in their last four matches, and we all know what two opposing strikers mean for Bielsa's setup.
Raphinha and Shackleton look 'likely' to be back in contention, according to the head coach while Phillips also came through the midweek defeat to Arsenal unscathed, so he too is a shoo-in to start.
Junior Firpo is also back in with a shout of making the matchday squad, but given Stuart Dallas's versatility and Norwich's tendency to alter their formation mid-game, the Northern Irishman may retain his place in the starting XI if Leeds need to turn their 3-3-1-3 into a hybrid 4-1-4-1.
No Patrick Bamford or Luke Ayling still, but Rodrigo is off the mark for the season now and Raphinha will be keen to make a good impression after his latest Brazil call-up.
It's been over two weeks since he last contributed a goal or assist for club and country, he's bound to be getting fidgety.
Joe's XI: Meslier; Llorente, Struijk, Cooper; Shackleton, Phillips, Dallas; Klich; Raphinha, Harrison, Rodrigo.
