KAS Eupen signs Yuta Toyokawa from Japan

KAS Eupen has signed Japanese striker Yuta Toyokawa to strengthen its team. Yuta Toyokawa is 23 years old, 1.73 m and transferred from Japanese second division club Fagiono Okayama to Leeds United. The English second division club then loaned Yuta Toyokawa to KAS Eupen.
Before joining Fagiono Okayama, KAS Eupen’s new signing was under contract with Japanese first division side Kashima Antlers. The striker scored 20 goals and had 7 assists during his spell in the the top two divisions. For the Japanese national youth teams, Yuta has played 14 games and scored 3 goals.
KAS Director Christoph Henkel is delighted with the successful conclusion of the transfer negotiations and with the cooperation from the 23-year-old Japanese player. “We have managed to sign a second player after Florian Raspentino to reinforce our attack. Yuta Toyokawa is a quick, dangerous striker and is sure to increase our team’s chances in the struggle to avoid relegation from the first division. We are very happy with our new player from Japan and welcome Yuta Toyokawa to Eupen.â€
Yuta Toyokawa will participate in KAS Eupen’s training camp in Doha with the Aspire Academy from 7th January, and is expected to be eligible to play in January after the completion of all formalities.
