Jeg visste jo at denne dagen snart ville komme, i og med at vi ikke rykket opp i år, men det er uansett tungt å ta farvel med favoritt-spilleren i dagens Leeds-lag. Nå er det kun snakk om dager...
Leeds and West Brom in transfer talks, dialogue started, club hopeful of deal.
West Bromwich Albion have reignited their interest in Leeds United defender Charlie Taylor and have made contract with the 23-year-old defender’s representatives, according to The Telegraph.
The Baggies are expected to reinforce this summer and Tony Pulis hopes to have transfer funds available to splurge before next season.
West Brom are believed to have tried to sign Taylor in the past and the Leeds left-back is out of contract at Elland Road this summer.
The Yorkshire club have been desperate for the enterprising full-back to extend his stay with his boyhood club, but the 23-year-old has failed to agree to a new deal.
With Taylor out of contract this summer he is free to talk to other clubs and West Brom are believed to have taken the lead in the race for his signing.
Burnley are also being touted as suitors in the report, but the Baggies are said to be hopeful of landing their man.
Leeds are believed to be entitled to a fee given through a tribunal given their role in bringing the player through their youth academy.
Taylor was out of action with an Achilles injury earlier this year and Gaetano Berardi deputised well at left-back.
However, it will be a sad day for the Leeds fans if Taylor does opt to leave Elland Road.
Det blir sannsynligvis den største nedturen siden Gary Speed sin transfer, og etterpå hans tragiske farvel.
