Noen får bli og andre må gå...

Sitat
Central defender Webb, 19, who made his first-team debut at Northampton in the FA Cup last November and 18-year-old midfielder Falkingham will both be looking to secure longer-term deals next season during their six-month spell.

Falkingham's season has been blighted by injury, but he impressed in the reserves during the closing stages of the campaign.

Meanwhile, Leeds have released fellow youngsters Nathan Cartman, Chris Ovington, Ross Wilkinson, Matt Edwards, Lee Booth and Sam Jerome.
I scored 24 goals helping my side win promotion back to the Premier League aged just 22. Then in my first season in the top flight I had bagged an impressive 15 goals by the end of January. My form earned me an England call-up. Am I a £35m striker? No. I am Michael Ricketts, February 2002.

Dany N`Guessan will be a Blade

With Leeds, Sheff Wed, MK Dons, West Bromwich Albion and Preston all vying for the Frenchman, Vic warns they had best get a move on as the tribunal will be too late starter for ten to secure the Services of Le Fusée Rouge. Besides which we rarely get sensations at Sincil Bank on a Saturday so we thought we would pull this result from out of the blue and blow the story all over Ken Bates laptop for breakfast.
The odds on favourites to sign him are Sheffield United, despite two bid from MK Dons. Yes your Uncle Vic has put together two and two together and come up with 3, but despite the scepticism in this instance that number is probably spot on.  (...)

Whites wait for Reading's Sodje verdict
Reading are poised to decide the future of Sam Sodje as Leeds United weigh up a possible move for the out-of-contract defender.
The Championship club have confirmed that they will meet with Sodje later this week to clarify their plans for the 29-year-old, who finished this season on loan at Elland Road.
His name was missing from the list of released and retained players isADVERTISEMENTsued by the Royals last Friday, but he should learn in the coming days whether he will be offered a new deal at the Madejski Stadium or freed to find new employers.
Leeds will watch his situation with interest after a spell at Elland Road in which the Nigerian centre-back made a major impression.
His seven appearances coincided with the consistent run of form which carried United into the League One play-offs, and he stood out as one of the most impressive players during their semi-final defeat to Millwall.
Sodje's short-term loan at United ended after last Thursday's second leg at Elland Road, but manager Simon Grayson saw him establish a dominant partnership with fellow centre-back Richard Naylor and may be tempted to offer him a permanent deal this summer.
A Reading spokesman said: "His situation hasn't been decided because he was away with Leeds until the end of last week. We'll be talking to him about it later this week."

;D LEEDS4EVER.

Beholde stammen + noen forsterkninger = CCC

Tror Grayson vet hva han MÃ… gjøre....Nok en spennende sesong foran oss....desverre i L1

Leeds United chief executive Shaun Harvey has confirmed the club will be offering leading goalscorer Jermaine Beckford a new contract.

It's unfortunate that a choice appears to have been made to discuss contract negotiations in public via the media, and I'd be disappointed if any Leeds fans interpreted what has been attributed to his agent as Jermaine's desire to leave.

Whites first for Frazer

Frazer Richardson will listen to the offer of a new contract from Leeds United before considering any outside interest in his signature.
United's club captain and longest-serving player is approaching the end of his deal at Elland Road, but it is anticipated that Leeds will attempt to keep him beyond the summer.
Richardson is one of only three senior professionals at United out of contract – Jonathan Douglas and David Lucas could also become free agents next month – and he will now decide the next step in his career after manager Simon Grayson met with Leeds' squad on Monday for the final time before the break.
United's academy product, who turns 27 this year, has amassed more than 150 appearances during the best part of a decade with Leeds, a period in which he has played in three different divisions.
The right-back may find other domestic clubs interested in signing him but his agent, Alex Black, insisted neither he nor Richardson have as yet given any thought to looking elsewhere.
Black said: "It seems that there's going to be an offer from Leeds, although we're not sure of what level that will be at. Everything's a bit fresh at the moment because the season only finished on Thursday, but I'm planning to sit down with Frazer in the next couple of days and see what he's thinking. We'll then see what Leeds have to say.
"He's been there a long time and he's not desperate to leave by any means, but he does need to make sure that he makes the right decision for his career.
"When we know where Leeds stand we'll be able to properly assess the situation, but we honestly haven't explored any other opportunities because Frazer's been totally focused on the last few months of the season. The first port of call is to see what comes from Leeds."
Richardson was a fixture in United's team for the first half of the 2008-09 season but lost his place after tearing a thigh muscle in the league game at Brighton.
He was replaced at right-back by Douglas and despite featuring as a substitute against Northampton on the final day of the season, he did not make Leeds' 16-man squad for either leg of the League One play-off semi-final against Millwall.

Leeds United put offer on the table as Beckford ponders his future

LEEDS UNITED have offered a new contract to 34-goal top scorer Jermaine Beckord.
The 25-year-old has just 12 months remaining on his existing deal and has already attracted interest from a host of clubs, including Sunderland and Coventry City.
Beckford is understood to be keen to resolve his future following United's failure to win promotion and United have moved quickly to try and keep hold of the striker.
Chief executive Shaun Harvey said: "I spoke to Jermaine's agent on Wednesday and we will be forwarding an offer of a new contract now we know which division we will be playing in next season.
"I understand Jermaine's desire to have his future resolved and to know what the future holds for him.
"But there is plenty of time to resolve this matter over the summer.
"Having seen Jermaine's reaction at the end of last Thursday night (when Leeds were knocked out of the play-offs by Millwall) when he was virtually inconsolable, that did not look like the reaction of a player who is desperate to get away from this club. I understand he wants his future resolving and so do Leeds United.
"It will be done in the proper manner between the two parties."
Beckford joined Leeds in 2006 for £50,000 from Wealdstone but struggled to make any impact in his first season with at Elland Road.
A loan switch to Scunthorpe United in the final few months of 2006-07 changed all that, however, with the striker netting eight goals as the Iron won the League One title.
Restored to the Leeds forward line the following season, Beckford went on to net 20 league goals as United eventually finished fifth.
He improved significantly on that last term even though his appearances were restricted by injury and suspension.

City face fight with Leeds and Hibs for Nelson

Bryan Gunn is said to be tracking Hartlepool defender Michael Nelson.
Gunn needs defensive replacements following Adrian Leijer's return to Fulham and Jason Shackell heading back to Wolves, and Nelson will be well known to former 'Pool assistant manager Ian Butterworth.
The 29-year-old centre back has yet to agree a new contract with Chris Turner's side, but the Canaries will face competition from Leeds United and Hibernian - both a lot closer to Nelson's north east base - for his signature.
