“The Milan transfer market continues: Maldini and Massara plan a trip to Belgium for Charles De Ketelaere tomorrow. The meeting with Club Bruges, however, will not be aimed at bringing the player back.
The two directors have planned this meeting with the Belgian club to understand if there is the possibility of closing the operation: the Rossoneri are ready to offer 32 million euros (including bonuses) but have no intention of raising. The reason? The player's willingness to move to Milan is clear but if Bruges were to play upwards with offers from the Premier (Leeds United and Newcastle), Milan would put an end to the negotiations to bet on a player perhaps less prospective but more ready, as Ziyech would be.
However, the intention is to close during the week: in the event of a positive outcome for De Ketelaere, the Rossoneri would move to the midfield and defense on "financially light" reinforcements. Otherwise, they will aim higher for a midfielder or a defender, also because in two weeks the real conditions of Simon Kjaer will be understood.”
