Dagens TOMA:
Phil Hay said on Saturday that MC's lawyers have told other people who wanted to buy the club that it isn't for sale...
Possibly because it's already been sold...There's too much evidence (GFH, lack of denial from club on TTGM statements) pointing in the direction of a TOMA
And its not like MC wouldn't shoot down TTGM if he had the chance...

Popey
"As for investment/takeovers my understanding is that at this stage the Football League hasn't been notified of one or asked to run O&Ds test"
Diskusjoner rundt denne:
Why are TTGM and Popey coming from such different angles?
The fact that TTGM have re-iterated their stance on the takeover today suggests they have some hard evidence,
Which I reckon means Popey knows, but is refusing to say anything
Popey is what you might term 'a proper journalist' - he, like Phil Hay & YEP reporters, will never report anything unless they have solid, cast-iron evidence. They don't report on rumours or social media chit-chat; although I'd be surprised if they don't monitor it in some way. They also need to protect their sources & relationship with contacts within the club, etc. It can make them look a little behind the curve, or reluctant to engage, but they're watching this closely.
Groups & individuals like TTGM don't have a long-standing tradition of quality journalism to uphold, so effectively they can say what they like

Imagine the godawful shit Pope or Hay would receive if they were to say 'It's happening' etc and then for it all to fall through. And imagine how much worse that godawful shit would be if/when cellino blamed media reports for the failure of the deal. Too many people want some rocks of news from them so they can stone them with the ammo when anything proves wrong.

Petter-Andre har stort sett vært stille i dag (kommentert mht fan-ownership though), men til denne posten (fra Seaside White) skriver han: THIS!
Guys
Just cut through all the bollocks and dick waving and put all the pieces together.
I'm confident that this is now in the pipeline. Having dealt with situations like this before - it bears all the hallmarks of NDAs being in place pending finalisation of a deal.
It's unlikely that you'll hear anything concrete in the very short term (a deal for a basket case of a club like ours will need a lot of i's dotting and t's crossing).
What we should be focusing on once the deal is done, is making sure any new owner is equipped to take us forward and has the best interests of the club at heart. We must never take our eye of the ball again; and make sure we hold any owner of LUFC to account for all their actions. One by-product of all the shit that's been gone through over the past few years is that fan base has managed to create a reliable network of sources and competence to ensure that no future owner should be complacent.
Be patient for a while and allow the dust to settle. Once we have a clearer picture, then we can start to ask meaningful questions and analyse what we've been left with.
