McDermott still working hard on fourth signing
Brian McDermott says he is still working hard to bring in a fourth player to the club this summer but it seems he is no further forward.
McDermott has said all summer that his main target for the club is yet to arrive. He has also said that he must reduce the squad before he can add to it and apart from players he wants to keep at the club being linked with other clubs; he admits he has only had tentative enquiries for players.
The Leeds boss seems desperate to bring the unnamed player in, but it still seems he is no nearer adding him to the squad.
Speaking to Adam Pope on Radio Leeds after the game, McDermott said, "We are still trying to do a deal as we speak with the same player that I have spoken about for quite a long time.
"We still haven`t been able to do it and that is all I can say at this time."
One player who has been strongly linked with Leeds all summer is McDermott`s former captain and defender at Reading, Matt Mills.
Mills was not part of the Bolton squad that drew their first game of the season at Burnley on Saturday.
