LUFC McDermott looking to finish season on a high
Leeds United manager Brian McDermott says the club want to finish the season on a high.
Leeds are currently in thirteenth place in the championship but could secure a top ten finish if they win their last two games, starting with Brighton and Hove Albion on Saturday.
Speaking at his weekly press conference ahead of the game this weekend, McDermott said, "We want to finish on a high. We want to make sure we play some good football and we get the right results.
"We are playing Brighton in front of a big crowd and they are trying to cement their place in the play-offs and we want to make sure we get the right result."
Leeds have taken maximum points from their two home games since the arrival of McDermott earlier this month. After beating Sheffield Wednesday in his first game in charge, they beat Burnley four days later, the clubs first back-to-back wins since the beginning of December.
McDermott saw his side lose for the first time last weekend when they went down 1-0 at Birmingham City.
Leeds face two tough games in their final two games of the season. After hosting fourth placed Brighton on Saturday, they travel to third placed Watford for their final game of the season.
