New Leeds United manager Garry Monk has told the Yorkshire Evening Post that a deal for Pep Clotet should be completed in the next few days.
Monk, 37, was appointed Leeds' latest manager under Massimo Cellino on Thursday, becoming the club's seventh manager in just two years following the departure of Steve Evans.

The former Swansea City boss, who left the Liberty Stadium in December, will be starting the planning for pre-season - and forming his coaching staff will be a big part of that.
It was believed prior to Monk's appointment that he wanted a reunion with Spaniard Pep Clotet at Elland Road, having worked together at Swansea.
The 39-year-old coach, who has also worked for clubs like Espanyol, Malmo, Halmstad, Viking FF and Malaga B, was Monk's assistant at Swansea and even demonstrated his loyalty to Monk by rejecting the chance to manage Brentford this past season, as reported by the Daily Mail.

Now out of work, Clotet is being lined up for a move to Elland Road, with Monk telling the Yorkshire Evening Post that a deal should be finalised in the coming days.
Monk added that he thinks Clotet is an 'excellent, top calibre coach', and securing his signature is 'of most importance' as he looks to build his coaching staff.

"Pep is definitely one of them and hopefully that will come or be finalised over the next few days," said Monk. "I have had an incredible relationship with him."
"He is an excellent coach, a top calibre coach who brings a lot to the table and will help obviously in the way that I work. He helps myself and will help all the players and all the staff and everyone at the club so he is definitely one of most importance," he added.
