any news on the rumor Todd Cantwell?
Unfortunately not. The silence from the club has been deafening since yesterday's collapse. Clearly after the confidence of reports on Cuisance and then nothing, they will not want any names out there for folks to get excited and then disappointed about. We're not led to believe De Paul is as appealing as is being made out in Italy. Time will tell whether they dodged a bullet with Cuisance.
Not based on Radrizzani's comments, no. The owner has been on Italian radio today and virtually ruled that move out.
There's not been anything solid on Nandez, but he would seem to tick a few boxes for Bielsa in that central midfield area. Cantwell has been played down since last Sunday when news of the bid broke. That stance may change now Cuisance is off the table. Cantwell would give them until mid-October to get a deal done too with the domestic window.
Dan James remains a major target for United, but they are in Man Utd's hands. The latter definitely need someone in before they let James out. Ryan Kent is someone they admire, but I understand he is very content at Ibrox. The De Paul move does not feel as advanced as some would believe. It hasn't been touched in many weeks and the numbers just don't seem to add up for all parties.
I would put money on them getting one more senior face over the line, but I couldn't back a specific name. It looks like Man Utd are making pathetic progress with their business, which in turn slows down the James move. The irony of going into another deadline day with James hanging in the balance. Radrizzani has all but ruled De Paul out in the past hour or so.
They want an 8 or 10 and a winger. Based on Forshaw's condition, I would say the former is a priority, yes.
Gray seems to fit a similar brief to James, but there's not been anything concrete out there on him at this stage. Wages may be a problem.
