Pressekonferansen:
Reaction to that performance?
For me, it’s a very important performance because we played against the best team in the Championship at this time. When you play against an opponent with this level we couldn’t express the aspects which define our team.
What was your thinking behind allowing the Villa goal?
The facts are those everyone could see. We have all the elements we need. What happened, happened. That’s all I can say about what is very clear.
Wasn’t clear though - confusion - decision in the interests of football generally or this game?
I don’t understand the difference.
Interests of fair play or just to diffuse the situation?
I don’t see any difference. What happened, happened and we answered the way we answered. You only have one way of analysing what happened. That’s why I don’t understand the difference. You are making a difference between fair play and circumstances in the game. It’s the same for me. There was one circumstance from the game which deserved an answer from the two teams.
Seemed a very generous act few coaches would have done
English football is known around the world for the noble features for how we play the competition.
How important to finish third?
Of course it’s important.
Any injuries?
Dallas.
Serious?
We can’t tell that. It’s hard to accept a fourth left-back gets injured.
Fair to say you believe Klich was in the wrong?
I’ve said all I want to say. One thing is our interpretation and another is how the opponent sees things.
Forshaw more advanced - how did that change the team and how did he play?
Forshaw played as an eight and Klich as a 10. They are two players with a lot of mobility. The team benefited from what they give to the team with a four behind them.
Question in Spanish - on Jansson perhaps
I’m not surprised this question comes from an Argentinian journalist. Jansson did not want to listen. This diminishes my authority. I don’t know what the consequences are when you lose the faith of the player. This is my ironic response to you. My analysis, not everyone accepts destiny in the same way. When you have to give up something so hard to reach.
How important is it to get back to good form before the play-offs?
For us it was important and it was a challenge we had to face.
We wanted to play against a big team and show that we were able to do that.
Preference who you face in the play-offs?
Who do you have in mind?
Boro, Bristol CIty or Derby?
I have so few players left, I thought you meant players! Sadly, we don’t have that many options. I was about to ask for your help.
Because maybe there is a possibility for a player I can’t see!
No I don’t have any preference for who we play.
