LUFC Players walking disciplinary tightrope

A number of Leeds players are walking a disciplinary tightrope ahead of the cut of for five bookings at the end of the year.

With two games left to play both Neil Kilkenny and Bradley Johnson are just one booking away from serving a one match suspension.

Kilkenny has now gone four games since picking up his fourth yellow card of the season in the 1-1 draw at Norwich City.

Johnson picked up yellow cards in three consecutive games recently against Reading, Crystal Palace and Burnley to put him one game away from a ban.

John Howson, George McCartney, Neil Collins, Luciano Becchio and Max Gradel have all picked up three yellow cards and could still possibly earn a one-match ban if they are booked in the remaining two games this year against Leicester City and Portsmouth.

Every other player with bookings against their names are safe from a suspension for five bookings with Sanchez Watt on two and Alex Bruce, Amdy Faye, Andy Hughes, Robert Snodgrass, and Andy O`Brien all on one yellow card.

Paul Connolly is the only player so far this season to pick up a suspension for picking up five yellow cards after he earned his fifth of the season at Reading that forced him to miss the home game with Crystal Palace.

Connolly picked up his sixth of the season in Saturday`s game with Queens Park Rangers and is now four away from a two match ban should he pick up ten yellow cards before on or before 11th April.

Leigh Bromby suffered the heartbreak last season when he picked up his fifth yellow card of the season in Leeds final game of the year at Stockport County.

His one match ban meant he missed the famous trip to Manchester United in the FA Cup.

Leeds have had two players shown red cards this season, Robert Snodgrass against Sheffield United and Alex Bruce against Ipswich Town.
