Leeds-Live melder dog at 'alle' er på plass.

Those who competed at the World Cup - namely Gabriel Gudmundsson, Ao Tanaka, Brenden Aaronson and Noah Okafor - will join up at a later date amid the possibility that some could miss the entire tour of the US.

But all other players are back in for testing at the Leeds Beckett's Health and Performance Hub, where initial body scans and body composition measurements that can't be undertaken at Thorp Arch are being carried out.

Today, July 13, marks the first day of Leeds United's pre-season with the majority of the squad checking in at Leeds Beckett University for testing this morning.

On Tuesday, the squad will return to the club's training ground to complete physical testing such as the bleep test and other endurance and agility exercises. Training will resume from Wednesday onwards.

Such early testing measures where each player is in their fitness at the present moment and can aid in learning about how much load they can handle initially and how much recovery time they need, allowing for individualised programmes to be curated.

Players who have reported back for pre-season, including new signing Harry Wilson, will fly out to the USA on Tuesday, July 21 ahead of the first friendly against Wrexham at the Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida on July 25.

Leeds then travel to their base camp in New Jersey ahead of their meeting with Sunderland Sports Illustrated Stadium on July 30 UK time. The Whites round off their tour in Chicago against Liverpool on August 2.

United then host RB Leipzig in the first of two Elland Road friendlies on August 8, with the second and final game of the summer coming against FC Augsburg a week later.

Sandwiched in midweek is the Wednesday, August 12 trip to Dublin to take on Manchester United at Croke Park. Leeds begin their Premier League season away at Nottingham Forest on August 22 at 3pm.

Leeds United have unveiled their travelling squad for a pre-season tour of America and games against Wrexham, Sunderland and Liverpool.

The Whites have linked up with the football promoter who put on last summer's Aviva Stadium friendly against AC Milan, for this summer's trip to the United States of America. Daniel Farke's squad will be based predominantly at Red Bull's new state-of-the-art training facility in Morristown, New Jersey and fly out to Tampa and Chicago for the games against Wrexham and Liverpool.

Leeds have confirmed the players who will be on the flight to America, and there are notable omissions. Noah Okafor's name is not on the list because Leeds have given him an extended break after being part of the Switzerland squad that reached the World Cup quarter-finals.

The quartet of Largie Ramazani, Joe Gelhardt, Max Wober or Jack Harrison are all missing from the manifest for the flight across the pond.

In Ramazani's case there is known interest from Valencia, with whom he spent last season on loan. The winger joined Leeds in August 2024 and was popular with team-mates and supporters alike, but struggled for gametime and was sent to LaLiga where he made 27 appearances with Valencia, scoring six and creating another. The 25-year-old is almost certain to leave Elland Road this summer and sources at Valencia have not ruled out the possibility of a permanent transfer. Sources close to the Spanish outfit say Ramazani is keen on the move and talks have taken place but an agreement has not yet been found.

Gelhardt also spent last season on loan, helping Hull City to earn promotion to the Premier League. It is not yet clear if a return to the Tigers is on the cards for the 24-year-old, who last played for Leeds in October 2024, but his future lies elsewhere.

Max Wober endured a torrid 2025/26 campaign through injuries that ravaged his loan spell at Werder Bremen and perhaps unsurprisingly appear to have dampened the Bundesliga side's appetite for a permanent arrangement. The Austrian international spoke recently of his hope to partake in pre-season with Leeds in their friendly fixtures but his absence from the tour party suggests he too will depart.

And club sources told the YEP in recent weeks that it would be no surprise to see Harrison, who has reportedly had talks with New England Revolution, return to the MLS. He moved away from Leeds again on loan in January to join Fiorentina but a permanent move to Serie A has not yet been forthcoming.

Leeds' squad for the US includes a mix of seniors who have already begun their pre-season, younger Under-21 players and those who will join up later in the tour after competing at the World Cup.

The full squad list is as follows: Alex Cairns, Alfie Cresswell, Anton Stach, Ao Tanaka, Brenden Aaronson, Callum Mills, Charlie Crew, Daniel James, Darryl Ombang, Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Ethan Ampadu, Freddie Lane, Gabriel Gudmundsson, Harry Wilson, Ilia Gruev, Jaka Bijol, James Justin, Jayden Bogle, Jayden Lienou, Joe Rodon, Joel Piroe, Lucas Perri, Lukas Nmecha, Oliver Pickles, Rhys Chadwick, Rory Mahady, Sean Longstaff, Sebastiaan Bornauw, Tarik Muharemovic, Wilfried Gnonto.

A club statement confirmed: "Noah Okafor has been given an extended break due to reaching the quarter-final of the World Cup with Switzerland, which is why he is not named in the travelling squad."

As reported by the YEP earlier today, Leeds are prepared for the possibility of new signings joining the club and completing medicals and moves either in the UK, then flying out to the States, or in America.

Leeds have also noted that shirt numbers worn by the players in pre-season will not necessarily represent the numbers they wear once the Premier League season begins.

Mange midtbanespillere, men ingen Ibrovic-Fletcher? Er ikke det litt overraskende at hverken han eller Silva Mexes er med, gitt all skryten de fikk da de signerte?

Men uansett blir det artig å forhåpentligvis få et blikk av unggutta i treningskampene.

For anyone not clued up on positions of the younger lads, squad looks something like this:

GKs-
Perri, Cairns, Mahady, Ombang

CBs-
Muharemovic, Bijol, Rodon, Bornauw

FBs/WBs-
(R) Bogle, Justin, Lane
(L) Gudmundsson, Lienou

CDMs/CMs-
Stach, Ampadu, Longstaff, Tanaka, Gruev, Crew, Pickles, Cresswell, Mills

CAMs/Ws-
Wilson, Aaronson, Gnonto, Chadwick

STs-
DCL, Nmecha, Piroe

Before people ask why so many CMs, a lot of the younger lads are primarily CMs but a lot of them are versatile and filter between the central positions. Often see Cresswell, Lienou and Mills covering CB in a back 3 and Pickles and Lane sometimes in more attacking positions.

Brings some welcome clarity to our situation. Looking at that list we have a 22 man senior squad (with Okafor), leaving room in the squad for Trafford, Brandt and Charles. After that it will have to be one out one in.
....
He left out James, but you can see why the club is targeting Brandt for one of the attacking positions. We look short there. I still think we'd need another option if/when Gnonto is sold. Although I also need to factor in that Okafor will be an option.
......
Gnonto, Piroe, Perri, Gruev probably all likely to leave. That's then an 18 man squad.
Add Brandt, Charles, Trafford that's 21. Still room for a LB and a striker (23).
James maybe an outside bet to leave also if we wanted to add a further attacker.
