Newcastle United boss Kevin Keegan insists he's not seeking to sell striker Alan Smith.
Keegan left the combative striker out of his squad for the friendly against Eredivisie champions PSV Eindhoven on Wednesday night.
That sparked speculation the England international would soon be heading for the St James' Park exit door.
However, Keegan insists that he was merely resting Smith and has no plans to sell the former Manchester United forward.
"With Alan - he's got a sore ankle," he said.

Striker Elding keen to prove worth
http://www.thisisstaffordshire.co.uk/crewealex/Crewe-Alex-Striker-Elding-keen-prove-worth/article-258140-detail/article.html

...But Wise's imminent departure from the fallen Yorkshire giants cost Elding dearly and he discovered he was persona non gratia once Gary McAllister had taken a grip of the reins.
"As I signed Gary McAllister came in and that killed me in a way," admitted Elding, "but that is football and these things happen.
"Leeds are a massive club and every player dreams of playing for a club like that. My family are Leeds fans and it was a pleasure to run out at Elland Road as it is a fantastic ground.
"But there is no point in dwelling on things as I want to play football and that is the reason I've come here."....
