Waccoe mener:
Keeper:
Ankergren - 7 – One excellent save, and steady throughout
Ankergren 7 - Quiet day. One good save which Lucas would probably still be making his way down to right now.
Ankergren - 8 – Excellent at Posh. Excellent today. should be 1st choice keeper. great save, how different today could have been
Lucas - 7 - Great save. Not much to do *hehe*
Ankergren - 7 – Brilliant save first half.
Ankergren 7- Clearly the best keeper at the club.
Ankergren - 7 - Largely untroubled but made a great save when called upon
casper 8 great save first half, did what was necessary after
Ankergren - 6 - Had f**k all of note to do. I feel much more confident with him in the team though
Ankergren - 7 - One good stop, but otherwise quiet day for him
Forsvaret:
Frazer – 7 – Good all round performance.
Michalik – 8 – A rock at the back, and good distribution.
Telfer – 6 – Too casual at times.
Parker – 7 – Another sound performance.
-
Richardson 7 - A few dodgy moments, but a good outlet down the right.
Michalik 7 - Kept Ibehre quiet but still needs to improve on distribution.
Telfer 7 - Steady away.
Parker 7 - One f**k up which could've let them in in 2nd half, but still decent enough for this league
-
Frazer – 7 – one of his better days
Michalik – 8 – terrific, getting back to his best
Telfer – 6 – not the answer for me, a couple of errors that could have been punished by better strikers. steady otherwise
Parker – 7 – looked more confident than the other night
-
Richardson - 7 - Steady afternoon. Never really troubled
Lubo - 7 - Much better game
Telfer - 6 - A couple of mistakes looks like a full back playing centre back
Parker - 7 - See Richardson
-
Frazer – 7 – Good all round performance.
Michalik – 8 – Very comfortable.
Telfer – 6 – Good for most of the game, few mistakes let him down.
Parker – 7 – Another steady performace.
-
Richardson 8 Great performance. Really doing well now.
Parker: 7 Assured performance, only a couple of blemishes. Far more confidence.
Michalik: 8 Distribution has been better and very, very solid.
Telfer: 7 Needs fitness back, but did well.
-
I thought Telfer's composure rubbed off on the whole of the back line. He retained the ball and passed to feet nearly every time, giving the receiver time on the ball and always being available for a return pass. He gave the ball away badly once - the midfield got back well - yet Howson probably gave it away similarly 6/8 times. Some people are never happy and are judging the guy on what could go wrong and not what is actually happening.
-
Frazer – 7 – fine defensively, i was disappointed with his forward play
Michalik – 7.5 - kept things simple and improved again for it
Telfer – 7 - Improved from tuesday, will do as fitness returns
Parker – 7 – another decent outing, deserves a run in the side now
-
Fraser for me still the weak link at the back.He always lets the Attacker get in front of him.
-
frazer 7 - played well on the whole, i just wish he would try harder to stop balls coming into the box.
parker 8 - didn't put a foot wrong, but didn't really have much to do.
lubo 7 - the better of the two centre backs, mostly dominant but shaky when they rarely attacked.
telfer 5 - did very little, ponderous on the ball. unconvincing.
-
Richardson - 7 - Did well going forward today, but his defensive skills were never challenged.
Michalik - 7 - Steady enough.
Telfer - 6- One or two slip ups, luckily it didn't matter against such poor opposition.
Parker - 7 - Worked hard and took his chance well. Deserves to keep his place for Southend.
-
Richardson - 7 - Steady
Michalik - 7 - Bit more like his old self today.
Telfer - 6- A couple of mistakes, but decent in general.
Parker - 7 - Another decent performance from him.
Midtbanen:
Kilkenny – 7 – Much more influential.
Douglas – 7 – Steady Eddie once again.
Delph – 9 – MOM – Two wonderful strikes, and a composed performance. Can we hang on to him ?.
Howson – 7 – Bit of a Curate’s egg – when he was good he was very good, but …
-
Howson 6 - Hard to understand why he's getting 90 minutes of football. Still looks like a boy.
Douglas 4 - Shocker. Ricketts played in his position 1st half and outshone him.
Kilkenny 7 - Unlucky to be taken off so early, but is still never outstanding.
Delph Dawg 9 - Two fantastic finishes to round off a typical Delph display. If he leaves in January it'll leave a assive hole in our team
-
He has an irrational hatred of Douglas. I think Douglas must have ran over his cat or something...
-
Kilkenny – 7 – got forward better, kept the ball well. nice to see him have some shots
Douglas – 7 – thought he had a v poor 1st half but loads better 2nd
Delph – 9 – MOTM – don't think he's been anywhere near his best in recent weeks but in that 2nd half he turned it on. awesome goals, he got in that hole behind the strikers alot more today
Howson – 7 – v poor crossing but his passing was v good. one of his better days
-
Kilkenny - 7 - I thought he was our best player in the first half but we had more of a cutting edge when he went off
Douglas - 7 - Kept it simple.
Delph - 9 - MOM. Sublime performance in the second half. Superb first goal.
Howson - 7 - Getting his confidence back
-
Howson, waste of time playing him wide.Robinson should be given a chance there.Howson is a CM,tho i wouldnt have him in the first eleven.
-
Kilkenny – 7 – More effective today.
Douglas – 8 - Brilliant, influential performace.
Delph – 9 – MOM – Immense.
Howson – 8 - Best game for a long time
-
Howson: 8 Very impressive. One of his best ever displays. Wide play not fantastic but he's one of the best passers at the club.
Douglas: 8 More of the same.
Delph 9 Two superb goals, deserves every accolade he gets at the moment.
Kilkenny: 7 Got forward a bit better, but needs a little more intensity at times.
-
Thought Howson was a bit shite if I'm honest. Robbo should be in there ahead of him for sure.
-
I think that's the future... hopefully anyway
Douglas for the defensive qualities
Killa for the keep ball
Delph for the box to box
Robbo for the creativity and that bit of magic
Howson, Prutton and Hughes to fill in where necessary.
thought Howson did well today though
-Kilkenny – 7 – decent shots, got forward, but needs to do it more. Harshly subbed
Douglas – 7 – improved as the game went on and was bossing things towards the end
Delph – 9 – 2 great strikes, I said on tues that I thought he needed a rest but I was wrong. Enjoy him whilst he's here and pray he stays
Howson – 7 – best display so far, though his crossing was a disappointment
-
dougie 8 - kept it tidy in the first half, got in a few tackles. man of the first half when we were poor.
kilkenny 7 - got forward a bit better than usual, unlucky to be subbed. needs to learn to tackle.
howson 5 - i'm normally a fan, but after abject first half on the right where he lost the ball too often was better in the middle.
delph 8 - two great goals some real touches of class, but didn't dominate. likes to play from the same positions as dougie.
-
Howson - 7 - Thought he did well today, albeit against a poor Walsall team.
Douglas - 7 - Did his job well enough, not that his role was needed today.
Kilkenny - 7 - Worked hard and had a good game.
Delph - 9 - Leeds has a new hero.
-
Howson - 7 - Poor for a lot of first half, but in a lot of work in the second.
Douglas - 7 - As usual read game well
Kilkenny - 7 - Decent. Some nice passing and invention.
Delph - 8 - Superb goals and an outstanding last 30 minutes.
-
Spissene:
Beckford – 6 – Subdued performance today, but battled away.
Becchio – 7 – Another well taken goal, and huge work rate.
-
Beckford 7 - Looks worried that he's not scoring which means him lacking in composure.
Becchio 8 - Never stops, what a signing.
-
Beckford – 6 – needs one to go in off his backside asap. poor movement most of the time. can't score every week. a solid enough effort
Becchio – 8 – what a find. held the ball up as well as anyone i've ever seen. massive work rate, good poachers goal
-
Becchio - 7 - Lead the line superbly
Beckford - 6 - Worked hard not much going for him at the moment
-
Beckford – 6 – Unlucky not to score, but good performance overall. What a goal drought!
Becchio – 7 – Great, battling performance again.
-
Beckford: 7 Worked hard but not his day. Bit of a lean spell but will open up the flood gates again soon.
Becchio: 9 The ultimate centre forward. Poaches, holds it up, does absolutely everything.
-
Beckford – 6 – if he worked half as hard as becchio it would be a massive improvement
Becchio – 8 – rich vein of form. Instinctive strikers finish and holds the ball up well
-
beckford 6 - it's just not happening for him at the moment. needs to make more runs.
becchio 7 - got better as the game went on. worked hard.
-
Becchio 8 - Excellent performance and he's getting better by the game.
Beckford - 7 - Worked hard but didn't get many clear cut opportunities in front of goal
-
Delph may get the plaudits because he scored 2 cracking goals. But again for me,Becchio was MOM,this man puts in twice the work rate of any player!!
-
Becchio 8 - 100 percent again.
Beckford - 7 - Not too many chances came his way today, but worked hard.
-
Subs:
Robinson – 7 – Perked up the team on his arrival.
Snodgrass – 6 – Put himself about
Prutton – 6 No time.
-
Robbo 7 - Made things happen again. Tracked back well.
Snoddy & Prutton - Hardly any time for an impact.
-
Robinson – 7.5 – should be starting, ads that bit of magic to our possession football
Snodgrass – 6 –
Prutton – 6 No time
-
Robinson - 8 - Just gives us that extra attacking dimension.
Snodgrass - 6 - Not involved to much
-
Robinson – 7 – Good shift.
Snodgrass – 6 – Looks good, but hasn't had the time.
Prutton – 6 No time.
-
Robbo: 7.5 Being left out left him with a lot to prove. Possibly start in place of Kilkenny, but its harsh to change the XI on these performances. Great display though.
Snoddy 6
Prutts: Didn't have a lot of time.
-
Robinson – 7.5 – caused them all sorts of problems, defenders fear him running at them. Should be starting
Snodgrass – 6 – ok
Prutton – 6 - reduced to a ceremonial role these days
-
robbo 6 - lost the ball too often but the odd good pass.
snoddy 7 - looked good in his short spell. worked hard and made a couple of excellent passes.
-
Til slutt, overall:
Overall – Much better defensively, and once we scored the first we settled down. We now have to either ban scouts, or put Delph in cotton wool until Jan 31st
-
Overall - we carried on from where we left off on tuesday but we tried going forward more I thought but we didn't have that magic to unlock their defence, this is gonna happen alot at ER so i'm glad we kept patient, kept it on the deck and took our time. they were worn down by the time robbo came on
Into 2nd place, lets keep this little run going and put some pts on the board away from home next week
-
basically, even though it was 3-0 i don't think we played well. we looked slow going forward and nervous on the rare time they attacked. thankfully delph's class made the scoreline safe before they could scare us in the last 10 minutes.
-
this is weird. i thought johnny was poor today and kilkenny did alright. i was expecting to see him get slaughtered by the waccoe masses. i've never seen him look so slow on the ball, unsure in his movement andwasteful with his passes. he's not a right sided midfielder.
-
thought in the first half we were poor. we looked static going forward and took too many hopeful pot shots in the first half because of the lack of movement around the box. IMO we haven't looked so lifeless in attack for ages. even though he didn't do much today i think we need robbo starting on the right.
as for walsall, they may have been reasonably organised defensively, but that was about it. they offered pretty much nothing going forward.
thanks to delph we didn't have a one goal lead with tem minutes to go when average looking teams ofetn seem to come to life at ER. they continued to flatline.
i know it sounds negative, but i'm just glad we weren't playing a better team today.
