YEP chief football writer Phil Hay takes a close look at how Leeds United's players performed at Stockport.
Casper Ankergren: Ankergren's strength is his shot-stopping and that impressive asset was on display at Edgeley Park. Three particularly good saves ensured that Leeds were on level terms at half-time 7/10.
Frazer Richardson: He and Hughes did a good job of attacking the left side of Stockport's defence, but Richardson found Tommy Rowe a real handful at times during the second half 7/10.
.
Rui Marques: Marques and Davies competed against each other all afternoon and the Angolan did a decent job. But he was posted missing when Baker broke through in the build up to Stockport's goal 6/10.
Lubomir Michalik: By no means a complete performance and he endured a few shaky moments in the first half, but Michalik was more convincing after the interval and made several vital interventions 6/10.
Alan Sheehan: Stockport enjoyed a fair amount of success down his flank to begin with but he tightened up as the game developed. The only downside was the quality of his passing 6/10.
Andrew Hughes: Not the first time he has reached full-time with a cut on his scalp and a bandage on his head. Gave every ounce of his energy and helped to keep United's tempo high 7/10.
Jonathan Douglas: Following on from a tireless display against Leicester, Douglas was combative and destructive, providing firm leadership from the centre of the field without the captain's armband 8/10.
Fabian Delph: The state of the pitch didn't suit him and his committed display was not always completely effective, but his finish was inspired and crucial. Picked up a caution for dissent 7/10.
Robert Snodgrass: Played his part in maintaining the pressure exerted by Leeds in the first half at Edgeley Park, but Snodgrass was never at the heart of the game and left the field on 65 minutes 6/10.
Luciano Becchio: Physical, aggressive and often the source of possession. How much he knew about his goal is difficult to say but he was in the right position to score it and deserved that reward 8/10.
Jermaine Beckford: His overhead kick which hit the crossbar was classic Beckford, but he did a good job of holding up the ball in the first half and was struggling with injury before his substitution 7/10.
Substitutes
Malcolm Christie (for Beckford, 65) 7/10.
Jonathan Howson (for Snodgrass, 65) 5/10.
David Prutton (for Hughes, 89) 5/10.
