Tommy Rowe (Nationality: English, DOB: 24/09/1988, Height: 5'11" (180 cm), Weight: 12st 11lbs (81 kg))
Multiple winner of Player of the Year, Tommy Rowe was dubbed the saviour of last season after his return from injury. A former Manchester United youngster, Rowe is one of the longest serving members of the team with close to 150 caps to his name.
Lee Tomlin (Nationality: English, DOB: 12/01/1989, Height: 5'11" (180 cm), Weight: 11st 9lbs (74 kg))
Since joining Peterborough United from Rushden and Diamonds, Lee Tomlin has proved a notable acquisition. Forever growing in confidence, Tomlin packs a powerful shot and is not afraid to shoot from range. Tomlin can play as a central striker or as an attacking midfielder.
Nakhi Wells (DOB: 01/06/1990, Height: 5'7" (170 cm),Weight: 10st 12lbs (69 kg))
City signed pacey attacker Nahki Wells up on a one year contract in July 2011 after the youngster impressed while on trial with the club, Wells, a Bermudian international, first featured in English football with League 1 side Carlisle United during the 2010/2011 season. The attacker impressed Cumbrians boss - and former City player - Greg Abbott enough over two seperate trial periods to earn himself a five month contract at the turn of the year.
With Carlisle having as many as eight attackers at their disposal during the early part of his Brunton Park career though, Wells understandably found first-team opportunities difficult to come by. Wells was released at the end of that season before coming to join City as a trialist when the Bantams returned for pre-season training in late June. Wells first brought himself to the attention of the City faithful with a truly stunning match-winning strike against Rochdale in an F.A Cup tie in November 2011. Running from inside his own half, Wells eventually let rip with a thunderbolt from all of 35 yards that whistled into the top corner. Using that amazing goal as a springboard, the Bermudian eventually forced his way into the City team by the middle of the season, forming an effective ‘little and large’ partnership in attack with James Hanson.
After displaying sparkling form towards the end of last season, including an impressive hat-trick at Northampton Town that effectively secured the club’s Football League status for another season, City took up the further one year option on Wells’ contract. With Wells’ eye-catching goalscoring feats continuing into the following season though, City were quick to tie the striker down to a new three-year contract in September 2012. Wells would go onto play a vital role in City’s truly outstanding 2012/2013 campaign. After putting in a brilliant first-half display against Arsenal in the Capital One Cup Quarter-Final, Wells went one better in the next round by netting City’s opener in the first leg of their semi with Aston Villa. With his goals ultimately having played a major part in the club’s success throughout the season, it was perhaps fitting that Wells’ twenty-sixth and final goal of the campaign – the goal to send the Bantams three-nil up against Northampton Town in the Play-Off Final - was the one that virtually clinched City’s promotion into League 1.
+ den spilleren som gir oss alle håp: Max Gradel, Wes Hoolahan (synd han får spille igjen, han er den perfekte boksåpeneren).
