Farnan gjengen ordner opp...
I scored 24 goals helping my side win promotion back to the Premier League aged just 22. Then in my first season in the top flight I had bagged an impressive 15 goals by the end of January. My form earned me an England call-up. Am I a £35m striker? No. I am Michael Ricketts, February 2002.

Såeh.."not in Leeds best interest", dvs. Frykter det verste her...

Alternativet er administrasjon og konkurs i vilkårlig rekkefølge........ Det kan vel ikke være bedre enn en litt frynsete businessplan av en milliardær!

FL klarer vel greit å sette disser to alternativene opp mot hverandre.  :)

@PhilHayYEP: Quiet on the takeover front. Football League declined to comment yesterday and, at the moment, has no announcements planned this week. #lufc

Ny info:

Leeds takeover in the balance as Cellino faces fresh fraud conviction

According to The Guardian, the takeover will collapse if Cellino is found guilty in a Sardinian court of failing to pay tax which prosecutors allege was due on a yacht he took to Italy from the US.

Cellino is accused of evading paying €400,000 import duty on the yacht.

At a court hearing in Cagliari last week, the Sardinian public prosecutor argued for a €1.165m fine to be imposed on the Cagliari owner.

The case is due to be heard on Tuesday, 18 of March, just five days after the Football League is due to meet to ratify Cellino's takeover.

It is now assumed the League will await the outcome of the tax evasion case against Cellino before making any decision. If Cellino is convicted, it is almost certain he will be barred from completing his purchase of a 75% stake in Leeds

The League will now likely wait for the outcome of the tax evasion case before rubber stamping the takeover of the Elland Road club. Should Cellino be convicted, he will likely be barred from completing the deal.

Football League Finally Poised to Kill Leeds United – by Rob Atkinson

The FL – not fit, not proper
Reports emerging today indicate that Massimo Cellino’s takeover of Leeds United may be on the brink of collapse.  The Football League, which has been busily delving away for any excuse to deny United a seriously minted owner, now appear likely – it is said – to wait for the outcome of a forthcoming court case in Italy, to be heard on March 18th.  Cellino has, by all accounts, pumped millions into Leeds United already, in the form of loans short of his ratification as owner.  If that ratification does not now transpire, the loans could be called in – and the Leeds United financial cupboard is bare.

Meanwhile, Birmingham City owner Carson Yeung has been found guilty of five counts of money laundering by a court in Hong Kong.  This does not appear to be causing any great degree of panic or concern at the Football League, occupied as they are in seeking any excuse to put Leeds United into trouble – a League tradition dating back fifty years or so.

Such apparent double standards are unlikely to go down well with the Leeds United support, the bulk of which – although initially suspicious of Cellino – are now ready to embrace a man whose actions have already spoken louder than any words.  The Leeds support and others with the interests of the club at heart will want answers to several questions, for example:

Why are the likes of Yeung, Abramovich, Tan and Allam allowed to do pretty much as they like without official interference, while Cellino seems to have been treated as Public Enemy #1 from the outset?
Why is the League’s due process being spun out to include court cases yet to be heard?  What happened to innocent until proven guilty?
Why are Leeds United yet again being treated in a way which is demonstrably less favourable as compared to other clubs?
What is the League stance on the positive impact of Cellino during his spell as de facto owner?  Wages paid on time when they otherwise might not have been; high profile loan signings; the avoidance of a winding-up order by payment of a debt to Enterprise Insurance.  All the actions of a man fit and proper to be running the club, surely?
In the light of all the above – just what the hell does it take to be accepted as fit and proper?  Is Ken Bates the yardstick?
This circus has gone on long enough.  If the Football League get their way, Leeds will be plunged into administration again, with no guarantee of a solid future for one of English football’s great names.  That’s not good enough.

We want answers, and we want them NOW.

How long can the yacht stay in the EU?

Normally, you can use the vessel in the EU for one and a half years. In technical terms, the period for discharge for privately used means of sea and inland waterway transport is 18 months. This is laid down in Article 562(e) of the implementing provisions of the Customs Code. If the boat is 'laid up' ('put in bond') for a time the possibility exists for not counting the period of non-use (see below).

Can the 18 months be extended if the yacht is not used? You may want to go home for Christmas!

Yes, the eighteen month period may be extended for the time during which the yacht is not used. Article 553(2) second sub-paragraph of the implementing provisions of the Customs Code allows for this. However, the maximum overal period during which the yacht can remain in the EU is 24 months (Article 140(2)(76 kB) of the Customs Code).

Can you have another period of Temporary Importation? How long must you wait?

Yes, you are not limited to a single period of temporary import. You can sail the yacht out of the EU and when you came back again for another holiday a new period of temporary importation can begin. The customs rules do not provide for a 'minimum period' during which the goods must remain outside of the customs territory of the EU.

Fotball kan være så mangt!  ;)
