Confirmed: Recent Leeds loanee Adryan signs for Nantes after leaving Elland Road.
French side Nantes have confirmed on their official website that they have signed Brazilian playmaker Adryan on a season-long loan with a view to a permanent deal.
Adryan, 20, has just finished a season-long loan deal at Leeds United, having arrived from Flamengo last summer with a strong reputation in his homeland.
However, the player previously compared to Kaka struggled to make an impact at Elland Road, playing just 13 games in all competitions before leaving the club this summer.
Now, Adryan is out on another loan deal, this time to France with Ligue 1 side Nantes, who have agreed a deal where they can purchase him next summer if he impresses, as confirmed on the club's official website.
A better destination than Leeds?
Adryan is primarily an attacking midfielder who thrives in the No. 10 role - something Neil Redfearn didn't incorporate into his 4-5-1 system at Leeds.
Now, Adryan can play in Europe, which tends to be more accommodating towards flair players like the Brazilian than English football is.
Hopefully, Adryan will be given a new lease of life in France, and finally live up to his potential with Nantes - potentially proving Leeds wrong in the process.
