Pontus Jansson donates Season Tickets to Children's Hospital
A large number of children are set to benefit from a Leeds United Season Ticket thanks to the generosity of Leeds United player, Pontus Jansson.
Whites centre back Pontus Jansson has bought two Leeds United Season Tickets and has kindly donated them to the Children’s Hospital in Leeds. Now, thanks to his donation, young patients will now get to look forward and enjoy a trip to Elland Road to watch him and the rest of the team in action.
Adding to his generous donation, Pontus paid a special visit to the hospital and personally handed the tickets over to the nurses in the Clarendon Wing. As well as handing the tickets over, Pontus took time to pose for photos with young fans and staff, do autographs for fans and took time to speak to everyone on the ward.
The tickets will allow a child and parent/carer to attend every league game at Elland Road for the duration of the season thanks to the special act of kindness from the Swedish International.
Pontus said: 'The best day for me as a child was going to games to see my team play and I wanted to give some children in the region the opportunity to come and watch Leeds play.
“People in Leeds have been fantastic towards me and my family and so I am pleased to give a little bit back.â€
Sarah Fletcher, a Matron for Children's Surgery at Leeds Hospital, said: "The donation will make a huge difference to the children on the ward. This is a thoughtful and generous donation from Pontus Jansson and shows just how in touch the players and the club are in touch with the community'.
“It will give children something to look forward to and also for the parent, a bit of light relief from coming back and forth from the hospital. It was great to meet Pontus and again, from everyone at the hospital, thank you very much.â€
