Pontus Jansson is now clear of the immediate danger after passing the cut-off set for a suspension for ten yellow cards.
Jansson has been on nine yellow cards since the draw at Hull City in January and one more before his 37th Championship game of the season would have meant an automatic two-match suspension under the totting up system.
The tough tackling defender avoided a yellow card at Reading on Saturday and will now have to have been shown 15 yellow cards this season to serve a ban under the totting up system.
The Swedish international, who had been shown nine yellow cards in his previous fifteen games, has managed to avoid a yellow card in his last eight games to avoid an immediate two-match suspension.
Jansson has managed to avoid a suspension so far this season having served suspensions last season for collecting 5, 10 and 15 yellow cards, missing six games.
