Ikke så vanskelig, syns jeg:
Green & Hernandez, keep
Taylor: Try to keep
Release: Turnbull & Doukara
Det ER lurt å 'renske' litt i stallen, om det blir opprykk eller ei..
Keep or release? What Leeds should do with each of their players currently out of contract this summerTue 7 Mar Jordan Harris @JordanHarris811
Leeds United currently have five players whose permanent contracts at Elland Road are set to come to an end this summer.
Leeds United manager Garry Monk
With the end of the season now in sight, certain clubs will be beginning to consider whether to offer new deals to the players whose current contracts are set to come to an end at the end of the campaign.
Leeds United currently have five players on permanent deals that are set to expire this summer (via transfermarkt), so who should the Whites be looking to keep hold of, and who should be allowed to move on?
Pablo Hernandez
Deciding Pablo Hernandez's future should surely be one of the simpler calls the Leeds hierarchy have to make. The playmaker has the option for a further year (via Yorkshire Evening Post), and it would be a complete shock if the Whites decided against taking up that option. On his day, no-one in the Championship can cope with him, and he would arguably have something to offer if the side were promoted.
Verdict: Keep
Ross Turnbull
With Rob Green, Marco Silvestri and Bailey Peacock-Farrell in the ranks, it would sadly not cost Leeds too much if they decided to let Ross Turnbull go following a spell which has seen him make just one first-team appearance in nearly two years.
Verdict: Release
Rob Green
At 37, few may have expected Rob Green to prove that he is deserving of a new contract at Elland Road, but that is exactly what he has done this season. His move to Leeds has seen him roll back the years and look as good as he has done for many seasons and it could certainly be argued that he has another year left in him.
Verdict: Keep
Leeds United's Charlie Taylor
Charlie Taylor
If it was down to Leeds, then it is unlikely that they would have allowed Charlie Taylor's contract to run into its final few months. Unfortunately for Whites fans however, it appears that Taylor's exit is inevitable given the transfer request he put in last summer as well as the Premier League bids that came in in January (via Guardian). But as far as Leeds are concerned, they surely need to do everything they can to convince him to stay, no matter how unlikely that is.
Verdict: Try to keep
Souleymane Doukara
Perhaps the most difficult decision for the Leeds hierarchy is whether to offer Souleymane Doukara a new deal. The forward tends to frustrate supporters as he can go missing for large periods but is also capable of goal of the season contenders - look at his strike against Nottingham Forest in January - and being a game changer every now and then. The lack of depth up front surely helps his cause, but if they go up and strengthen in that area and out wide, then perhaps it could be argued that it makes little sense to keep him. However, if there are not that many changes to the squad, then keeping him may be a sensible idea.
