Sitting tight
Waiting for Bielsa now in the bowels of Ashton Gate.

Win 21 - manner as important as the win?
In the first hour of the game we could have had a different score. In the last 15 minutes the opponent could have drawn the game. We played a different game, regarding the style we want to use. In the last 20 minutes we didn’t have the ball. The opponent played in our box with aerial balls. In the box the possibility of making a mistake is higher.
The consequences of mistakes are different. The team showed a lot of experience in the last 20 minutes. We would have wished to create more danger in the last 20 minutes of the game. We couldn’t launch counter-attacks and the feeling it was a 50-50 game increased.

Phillips and Bamford - concern?
We’ll see by Tuesday how they are. They will be available, I think. It wouldn’t be convenient to anticipate their real situation.

Tempted to remove Bamford earlier?
I could have taken the decision I took earlier. For us, the movements in the pitch, we need to make movements in the pitch to attack and press the opponent.
Bamford is very important in this. Because he’s important I didn’t want to take him out of the game. I saw his performance weakened us a little after the goal he scored.
Sometimes when you know a player is important you resist the temptation of taking him out of the pitch. As he was not 100 per cent, his performance decreased.

Happier with his goals or general performance?
It’s an obligation for him to score when a team lacks efficiency. He also has an important role in the team.

Phillips importance?
He is, after QPR, had two very important performances against West Bromwich and this one. When he plays well the level of the team increases greatly.

Enjoying this pressure? Hard for fans
It’s very difficult to use the word ‘enjoy’ after a game, even if we have won. After when we watch, when we have an analysis after the game, we feel we are enjoying..

Work done to stop Bristol's passing?
We worked a lot on the aerial game in the middle of the pitch and our box.

Phillips deliberately marking Semenyo?
Kalvin played in front of our centre-backs and he adapted his position to the 18 and 20. In the second half, when we had the 10 from Bristol, he played a little bit backwards. When the 45 played, Berardi played in his position and Phillips played as a midfielder again.
Twenty and 45 switched positions and then he played back in the defensive line. When four played as a third number nine.

Impression of Bristol after two meetings?
It’s a difficult team to play. If we play the game with Bristol’s style, which is to prevent the ball going through the middle, it’s very difficult to beat them.
Bristol has important players, it doesn’t matter if they played good or bad today. Eight and 11 are important, nine also is important. Eighteen is a young player, skilled, we can take a view of him as a good offensive player in the future.
He can play as a nine, behind the nine or down the sides. It’s a strong team in defence and Bristol has players to make the difference in attack.

Players look focused - how important is mental strength in this next week?
This aspect will have a lot of importance in the final games of the Championship.

Nature of Bamford's injury?
A kick. An impact which produces pain. It prevented him from reaching his maximum speeds.
[Not a twist or tear?]
No, not a muscular injury. Perhaps I am not the right man to answer the question.

Johnson - no complaints

Could have got a drawer. Good chances. Diedhiou. Taylor’s chance to lob was a good one.
Scrappy, horrible game. Disappointed with our quality, but you have to give them credit for hustling and harrying us. Tough day at the office, as we expected with their quality.

Poor goal?
Young lad’s lost the runner and the goalkeeper’s in the net before the finish. Too soft and too easy. That’s where we’ve got to learn, particularly at home. Not sure where the fans were directed their displeasure at the break. Need to be united at home.

Semenyo
Individual actions quite well. Expand his mind to what this league is like. How bright you need to be.

Johnson on Leeds
Their back two are very aggressive on the front foot. Midfield disrupt well because of their energy and appetite to get tight. Mental calmness to be able to pick out and execute that delivery required. That was my frustration more than anything. Couldn’t get enough love of the ball, if you like, to kill them when they needed to be killed.

Disruptive team
Leeds are very good at disrupting teams. That’s why they’re where they are.

Leeds United owner Andrea Radrizzani launches attack on Bristol City and Steve Lansdown

Leeds United chairman Andrea Radrizzani launched a stinging attack on Bristol City amid claims that two young supporters were ejected from the home end at Ashton Gate yesterday after being spotted wearing Leeds socks.

Radrizzani took to Twitter to criticise City for ordering the family to leave the ground before kick-off and refusing to allow a camera crew who are producing a behind-the-scenes documentary at Elland Road to film inside the stadium.

Relations between Leeds and Bristol City were already strained after City’s owner, Steve Lansdown, led the calls for United to be hit with a points deduction over the ‘Spygate’ controversy which blew up in January.

The EFL resisted that demand and instead hit Leeds with a £200,000 fine, drawing a line under the dispute last month. United decided against making a formal complaint over Lansdown’s comments.

Radrizzani spoke out after Leeds fan Philip Joel said he, his two sons and his brother-in-law were removed from Ashton Gate half an hour before United’s 1-0 win “as my sons have (sic) their Leeds United socks on.”

United’s majority shareholder said: “This is unacceptable and we will invite the family at Elland Road as guests.

“What can you expect from a club whom request points deductions for no reasons and didn’t accept our documentary crew to access at the ground and follow our team. Focus on Reading (Leeds next game on Tuesday) now.”

Bristol City have been approached for comment by the YEP.

Leeds received an allocation of 2,600 tickets for Ashton Gate after numerous rows of seats in the away end were blocked out with black sheets.

A number of United fans told the YEP how tickets purchased in the home end were been cancelled and refunded at short notice after City confirmed that they were on Leeds’ own ticket database.

United, meanwhile, have been followed by filmmakers from Eleven Studios - part of Radrizzani’s Eleven Sports group - and Leeds-based media firm The City Talking with a view to producing a series similar to those which documented the fortunes of Manchester City and Sunderland on Amazon and Netflix respectively.
