Åhh, denne kampen har vi tenkt på en stund. Håååpt at opprykket ble klart i løpet av denne kampen så ikke bortekampen mot Plymouth ble avgjørende. At det skulle være avgjort FØR tror jeg få turte å håpe på i august...

Men det er det altså.

Selv ble jeg snytt for tur når kampen ble flyttet til mandag. Velvel...

Jeg er spent på hvilket utslag det allerede klargjorte opprykket gjør med Burnley og Leeds resten av sesongen. Burnley spiller på bortebane allerede 13:30 i morgen (QPR). Vi spiller tross på hjemmebane. Tror det er lettere å motivere seg der.

Uansett, Championship-tittelen, pokalen, er fortsatt ikke utdelt.

Hva har Farke-oppstyret gjort med spillerne denne uka. Blir de ekstra tent på å spille for ham?

Er spent på pre match pressekonferansen - kanskje er den i dag? Sjelden den er på lørdager i alle falll... Har Farke noen kommentarer?

Vil start-elleveren se annerledes ut nå som opprykket er i boks?

It's also not surprising. I knew exactly for which club I signed. Normally, it's a good effort if you last three months at this club. Once you sign for this club, you know from this moment there's lots of pressure and expectation. On a weekly basis, someone is linked with following in your footsteps. It's nothing new, what I wouldn't expect. This club is so emotional and big. Journalists from all over the country, have never spoken to one person here, they want to write about Leeds. Sometimes you have to bring some shock news. So many pundits have some ideas, give their opinions. If you want to sell your opinions you have to come across with something special. The problem is if you're in charge of this club and you're distracted, suffer or lose concentration, then you can't lead this club. To handle the pressure and expectation and rumours and gossip is not easy but I'm fully aware this happens when you work for this club. We have achieved great things already. We also still 100 per cent concentrate and focus on winning the title if somehow possible. The last days I was celebrating and recovering but today back to work, making sure we achieve the next step: an established Premier League club. I have no time or energy to waste on any rumours or gossip.

Farke on relationship with board
Really trustful and good relationship with the board. Spoke with Paraag last evening. It lasts a while til I said yes to Leeds. Two years ago I wanted to speak about some things, it was not an easy decision to go back to the Ch'ship. For no other club than Leeds I would've taken this challenge on. I know what potential this club has. Marcelo had one really great year [in the Premier League], but if we spend three years in the top flight, we don't have the right to call ourselves an established Premier League side. In 3, 5, hopefully 10 years, you have to work on it step by step. The first thing when I came in was to steady the ship, get rid of the contractual disaster we had, important to build a new group, create value by developing players. Due to FFP, this club was under huge financial pressure. Built a new group, came close to bringing it over the line, but for me it was important for a new spirit, that if we go up we have a good basement to work on, to reunite this club again, relationship between staff and supporters was pretty ruined if I'm honest when I walked in. For me it was important to create a clear identity, the values we want to stand for, approach and principles. Clear handwriting of Leeds United and this is what we have established. We're out of this competitive league, the next big step is waiting to survive the first season on Premier League level, it's never easy, it's a huge task and big challenge, everything has to be spot on in decision-making. Then, not just the first season but you stay for good. It's a huge challenge and we're working, many things have to come together. You have to be ambitious, with a proper budget, without there's no chance to achieve it. You need to make sure you improve in every dep't. We have to invest in the training ground, the staff, the playing squad, also there will hopefully be many new incomings, find the right players to improve you. We want to invest in the stadium. You have to improve every day in all areas. It's not just one simple target, sign one or two players and that's it. For that it will be a complicated and hard-working period to give this club the best opportunity to achieve what we want to achieve, to survive and establish themselves on Premier League level. Lots of work and discussions are needed. We're working pretty hard altogether on it.

Farke proving himself in the Premier League
Not really excited because I'm not thinking too much about myself. I don't think there's any point I have to prove. I was in my younger years as a manager, also hihgly motivated to prove myself and take the next steps but of course it always depends which team yoy have. The quality of a manager is never defined by a league, it's either you are a really good manager or you're not. Give you an example: first promotion season with Norwich, we had a pretty young side, surprisingly won the title, more than 90 points, I was celebrated a lot, next best thing as a manager but I was never over the moon - we played in this title winning season against Swansea, away game, 4-0 up, everyone like 'Swansea play so naive, Norwich is the real stuff' but I was thinking 'there is a really interesting manager with a good approach'. We just had the better side. Everyone was talking about me and how great we were, but I was hoping the clubs have a clue and good eye for quality of the manager. Thank God Brighton had this and signed Graham Potter. Next season I play with Norwich away at Brighton, tight game. I was never thinking because I won the title and Graham finished 11th that I'm the better coach.

I know what you need to survive in the top flight, what I didn't have at Norwich. Two years ago I worked in the Bundesliga, finished mid-table, decent budget. It always depends on what you have. It will always be a challenge on Premier League level. Ipswich, Southampton and Leicester, you can read the numbers how much they've spent but it was not possible to stay in the league. I think of my time at Norwich, I think we spent £8m. We had more points than the teams promoted last season. I know how challenging and difficult it is. Proper resources and backing, it's more likely you do this than without the right tools. We have to work on giving ourselves a chance. to do something sensible with the budget and have a competitive squad. This is what we want to do. I don't have the feeling I have to prove anything.

Etter gårsdagens Burnley-seier må vi trolig vinne denne for å kunne ta tittelen i årets sesong. Bør være et mål å rykke opp som champions.
Bristol City har mye å spille for. Seier vil sikre playoff, uavgjort vil medføre at de sikrer playoff med uavgjort også i siste kamp.
Håper vi møter et lag som prøver å spille fotball - da tror jeg vi tar dem. Hvis de murer igjen er jeg langt mer usikker.

Jeg har jo lest utdragene, men for ett utrolig bra pre-match intervju. Det virker veldig troverdig at faktisk ikke Farke lar seg affisere av at hans posisjon blir diskutert.
