On-trial defender, Hayden Foxe, is setting his sights on securing a contract with United.
The former Australian international made his Leeds debut in the friendly clash with Sarpsborg on Thursday and turned in an assured display at the heart of the defence.
Hayden, who starred with West Ham and Portsmouth in the Premier League, was playing his first game for over 18 months after finally recovering from a nagging foot injury.
"It was great on Thursday," smiled Hayden. "After so long out of the game I was happy to get back playing and I'm grateful to Leeds for giving me that chance."
The defender has F***ed in well on the pre-season tour of Norway and says he is already settling into life as a Leeds player. "Leeds seemed a good option for me," he said.
"They seemed a good club and it's a great set-up. It's a terrific place and the boys here are all good lads, which is very important. That's helped me settle in easily.
"Hopefully I'll get a deal here. We'll see how my fitness is, but I hope I can stay," he added.
