player ratings if anyone is bothered.
Sullivan 5 - little to do in all honesty, perhaps got down a little slow to the first goal, but it was almost point blank range.
Kelly 6 - linked up well with Stone, and always available for the throw-out from sully, could have played the early ball a few times but decided to hold on to it, slowing play down.
Butler 5 - looked slightly overweight, and a second slower, made a great sliding tackle first half but was beaten in the air a few times.
Foxe 5.5 - i was suprised by him, thought he played ok. good defencing but awful distribution, sign him up i say, better than Rui Marques
Elliot 6 - could he be the answer? experienced full back, likes to get forward and help out, was caught out a couple of times with balls in behind and was let off when he let his man through, but he was offside, unless he played for that. wink.gif would be another good edition, but would mean showing the door to Crainey or Harding.
Stone - 7 MOM - best player in a white shirt today in my opinion. enthusiastic, could be heard encouraging the lads and always asking for the ball, worker very well with kelly, played like a winger, and delivered a decent amount of balls into the box. kept his cool for the goal.
Bakke - 5 rather quiet i thought today, seemed to speak to the team well, and captained the midfield, but he wasn't a threat in an attacking sense.
Fotheringham - 5.5 after i'd worked out who he was i was reasonably impressed, tenacious player, put in some great crunching tackles, looked to play football and had the right idea even if a few balls went astray. haven't seen enough of him, but he could be a good signing.
Livermore 5 - distinctly average. looked comfortable on the ball and played with both feet, but not a left sided midfielder, he is too defensive, looked to come inside, rather than down the flank. he doesn't balance the midfield, as stone was down one flank, but no one down the other.
Healy 5.5 - healy looked quite lively and an improvement on his usual sulky self. he was played up front but kept drifting into the channels, and worked well, shame he didn't have a decent striker to play up there with.
Blake 5- rather poor. saw enough of the ball but held on to it for far too long and was on the end of a few hard challenges, no nonsense approach to his fancy footwork. was subbed at half time

Beckford 4- oh dear. non league player today i'm afraid to say. as usual so much energy and enthusiasm, but technically inept. his control was slack, his knock down headers went here, there, and everywhere. and he couldn't beat a man for toffee, had a couple of fresh air shots. not too impressed with young Jermaine.
Gregan 5- came on for Butler when we were in control of the game, no pressure on him whilst on the ball so he looked relatively comfortable and mopped up a couple of potentially tricky situations well.
Richardson 4.5- came on in the centre of midfield, which didn't suit him, he passed it round short and precisely, but was unable to get into the game.
Griffiths 4.5- played out left, didn't see mcuh of the game, but missed a glorious header coming in at the back post. should have scored.
