Hughes wins Whites extension
Experienced Leeds man secures third season with the club

Andy Hughes med ett år til i Leeds United:
Hughes: One-year extension
Andy Hughes has automatically secured a one-year extension with Leeds United for next season after a clause was triggered in his contract.
The former Norwich, Reading and Notts County man triggered a clause in his deal that stipulated that if he made 18 appearances he would automatically land a third season with the club.
Hughes, who would have been out of contract this summer, is thrilled to be staying with Leeds for another season and is looking forward to helping the club win promotion from League One.
"It was in my contract when I first came if I made a certain amount of appearances in my second year there would be another year," Hughes told the club's official website.
Delighted
"I'm delighted to have reached that because this is a place I love being at and my family love the area as well. And under the new manager it's great to be involved.
"If we can start nicking wins away from home, it'll set us up for a final push towards the end of the season."
A hamstring injury has curtailed Hughes' availability of late, forcing manager Simon Grayson to field Jonathan Douglas at right-back with Frazer Richardson also sidelined, but he is back in training and will be available against Crewe.
"I'm back fit and training now," said the versatile 31-year-old. "I was in the squad on Saturday and wasn't involved, but I can't grumble about that because the boys have done well.
"The manager knows how to get success. He's done it at Blackpool, he's got good staff around, bubbly players, and the end of the season we need it."
